A true Christian is a person who has put his or her faith and trust in the person of Jesus Christ and fact that He died on the cross as payment for sins and rose again on the third day to obtain victory over death and to give eternal life to all who believe in Him. John 1:12 tells us: “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.” A true Christian is indeed a child of God, a part of God’s true family, and one who has been given new life in Christ. The mark of a true Christian is love for others and obedience to God’s Word (1 John 2:4; 1 John 2:10).

I think of a real Christian as someone who inwardly desires to follow Christ. They do not do it for show, or because they were raised that way...but because they love Christ and want to show their love through obedience.
I think that some people call themselves Christian because they believe in Christ...but it ends there. They are not actively pursuing him or interacting with him. They only go to him when they want something or things aren't going well. But they do not see the need for him in their daily lives.
I had a friend who was a single Mom...she slept around, then moved in with a guy who had been out of prison for only 3 weeks, then married him, then divorced him when she found he was doing drugs again, then moved in with another guy, he was abusive...she just had this life of turmoil...mostly of her own doing. She had breast cancer and ended up getting a double mastectomy. There was much more...I could write a book. But the thing is, she would always say to me "I'm a good person, I'm a Christian, why is God doing this to me?"
I couldn't even begin to help her understand why her life was a mess...but she thought of herself as a Christian...yet never tried to actually follow Christ.

I've heard people call them girly but never gay. Anyway to answer the question: Its mostly because cocktails are often so diluted with juices or whatever that you can barely taste the alcohol in them therefore they are very easy to drink. They still get you drunk of course, but its the easy way out. Not to be sexist but women are often considered weaker than men...just saying. Men drink strong drinks like whiskey on the rocks to show they're "TOUGH" and can handle a drink that puts hair on their chest. Men shouldn't feel intimidated drinking a cocktail though, at least they're drinking alcohol.

A real Christian,is a follower of Jesus the Christ and has died to self, being made new in the likeness of His creator,by grace, through faith in the substitutionary sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, who paid a ransom for many. One who is not ashamed of and is willing to defend the Gospel...and reach out to a dying world trapped in blindness and taken captive by the enemy at his will.
There are many many other things that I could add....this is it however in a nutshell.
You know,I wish they would to away with the thumbs down,thing...as many people really pour out their feelings, quite often, only to be shot down....Even when the answer is wrong...
TCC...I need to clear something up with you on a question of your's from the other day....
Well i guess I invited some thumbs down....I really don't care personally...I was speaking of others here that i felt bad for.

It dose not matter what any mortal may "think" it means... Only God may decree one to be a Christian... All who come to God in The Way He prescribes will receive His free gift of Salvation. Those become part of The Body of The Chruch of which Jesus The Christ is The Head. Those are the ones of The True Christian Faith. Only those of The Church will enter Heaven.

This is a very good question. The best answer I have seen is described in the audio "True and False Conversion". It can be found here:

Essentially the difference is repentance. A lot (if not most) modern churches teach that God is love and Jesus will enhance your life. While this may be partly true it is not the only factor in salvation. People that get saved solely on the basis that they "believe" are not truly saved. Even the demons believe.

I have used that word before, especially saying real Catholic. I conserve it for when others act hypocritical and their actions are contrary to their statements. Like saying you are Catholic but I support abortion. Also, their are some Christian groups that claim that since I'm catholic I'm not Christian. Sounds pretty absurd right. But since recently all the thousands of little denomination have just called themselves Christian (not Lutheran, Calvinist, Baptist). So I am not Christian I'm Catholic. Do you get it?
God Bless,

Real Christian to me means one who follows the commandments of Jesus and who possess the fruit of the Holy Spirit: Love, patience, goodness, kindness, joy, peace, forbearance, gentleness, and meekness.

Being a member of a church...even a participating member does not necessarily mean that you have a personal relationship with Jesus. That to me would be the difference.

Simple enough -
1. A person realizes that they are a sinner and they feel sorry
in their heart for their sin knowing it offends a Holy God.
2. The person goes to God in prayer and tells Him he or she
is sorry for their sin and asks God to forgive them.
3. They receive forgiveness from God by faith in the blood of
Jesus Christ shed for them on Calvary.
4. They live to love and serve the Lord from that time on and
all throughout eternity.
