Before considering something like surgery, see a nutritionist, to help you figure out what you're eating that is causing problems.

If you don't eat breakfast, that lowers your metabolism, so have a light one (bowl of whole-grain cereal w/skim milk or even lean meat).

Eat smaller portions and allow yourself to snack on veggies throughout the day (avoid too much fruit, it has TONS of sugar!).

Throw out all the cookies, chips, ice cream and other high-fat, low-nutrition foods! Also, CHEESE is a huge caloric bad-guy, though it's technically "healthy". Avoid too much dairy and take calcium supplements instead.

Eat more veggies, whole grains and lean meats. Check out recipes on places like foodnetwork.com

Also, you should see a doctor to test for low thyroid, diabetes and other problems, and to give you the go-ahead to exercise safely.

Since the weight might strain your knees and feet, try floor exercises first, and just try to do as much as you can throughout the day, instead of sitting. Once you get a bit more strength (won't take long, since you're young), start with WEIGHT-TRAINING more than cardio, to build muscle.

This will a) increase your metabolism (you'll burn more calories even when sitting still) and b) make cardio exercise easier for you in time.

After you lose enough so you feel comfortable walking, try long walks at a comfortable pace (brisk but not out of breath).

Look for a long term solution, with short term goals. Think in terms of 10 lbs at a time, not 40-50 or more! That will just discourage you.

Also, try to get others to help you and join you...it really makes a difference!

Good luck!

Make some healthy choices in your life. Cut down on sugars and fats. If you stick to a 1200 to 1500 calorie a day intake, you should lose the weight. Drink alot of water, at least 8 glasses a day. A sample diet plan can be as follows:

Breakfast
1 cup yogurt (stick to the nonfat kind)approx 100 cals(1 milk exchange)
1 piece of fruit or a cup of fruit(i.e. strawberries)(1 fruit exchange)
1 english muffin with fruit spread(1 bread and 1 fruit exchange)

Lunch
6 slices of deli meat (turkey is preferred)Healthy Choice (1 protein exchange)
2 slices of whole grain bread(2 bread exchange)
With lettuce and tomato(yes, you can use mayonnaise, but sparingly, count as 1 fat)
OR
One huge salad consisting of lettuce, tomatoes, cukes, peppers. Dressing on the side and dip your fork in it and then pick up the salad. (That trick will give you the taste of the dressing without all the calories)
Dinner:
3-4 oz. of any protein meat(preferably boneless, skinless chicken breast) cooked any way but fried.(1 protein exchange)
Choice of vegetable(1 veg. exchange)
Salad(vegetable exchange)
1 potato(1 bread exchange, use butter sparingly, count as 1 fat)

Freebies:

Popcorn(microwave is ok, just count the calories)
All vegetables except starchy ones(potatoes, beans, corn)
100 calorie snacks, but count into your total intake

Cheat shake:
6-8 ice cubes
1 cup skim milk
artificial sweetener to taste
1 cup of any fruit

Whip up in a food processor or blender and enjoy. The air in this "shake" will fill you up. 1 milk and 1 fruit exchange.

Keep a diary of what you eat, and you can go online or go to a bookstore and get a book on food calories to keep track of every calorie you eat.

Just remember, you can eat what you want, but you must keep in the calories you have set for yourself. So if you really must have a candy bar, you need to cut out something else for that day's intake.

Don't forget some sort of exercise. It could be as little as 10 mins a day as long as you keep moving. Walking is good. If you can get your hands on an XL Glider(sold through QVC) it works wonders.

Last thing : DO NOT GIVE UP OR GET DISCOURAGED! You did not gain the weight overnight and it will take time to lose it. Average healthy amount a weight to lose per week is 2 lbs.

Good luck! :)

you cant expect to lose fat fast - its not like you gained it fast!
its healthy to lose 1-2lbs a week - if you lose more you are not losing fat you are only losing water weight and muscle which means - slowing down metabolism and gaining back more than lost as soon as start eating normal again.
find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Surgury is the way to a death bed and filled with worry. The procedure is painful and very costly. You need to check out
www.pushtv.com

This is a great place where you can customize DVD's to your physical body and have your own personal trainer! You can also get advice from a nutritionist and a personal trainer anytime! The most important thing is to love yourself FIRST. You dont need any fancy equipment. All you need to do is make time to do it! With anythng you need#1- Confidence #2-Persistence and #3-Yes, near to obsession

When you want it, you stay on your path, even if you fall off. You need to make time for it. Theres no excuse. I work out anytime I got available. Its at bizarre times of the day, but I make the time.

God has created everyone for a reason and you have a purpose in this life. Everyone does. Im sure your a beautiful person and just need a boost of confidence. Try joining a local walking club at a recreational center with others trying to lose weight. That might help you. But you dont need any fancy diet or equipment for PUSH TV. Just portion control is the main thing and drink lots of water!

Funny thing is , you & I have lots in common. Im 5'3 and weigh the same amount as you. Im just trying to lose weight as well. If you lose weight the right way, it'll stay off.

FYI---starving yourself wont help. It'll just keep the weight on and it'll be like your body shuts itself down thinking its in starvation mode for survival purposes. Also that causes horrible health problems in the future.

Sign up for PUSH TV and start today. I highly reccomend Bob Harper as a trainer.

Oh sweetie, I know you want to lose it fast, but the best way is to do it gradually. Since you want to lose a fairly significant amount, you should probably check in with your doctor before starting.

You'll need to change the way you eat and you should add some exercise. Even going for a walk every day can make a huge difference. If you're anywhere near me, I'd be glad to join you walking. In any case, if you can find a partner to work with, you're more likely to be successful.

you are over weight if you aren't muscular. muscle weighs much more that fat, which means weight isn't the best thing to judge by. if you want to get skinnier, alter your diet so you're eating the right things. talk to a physical trainer at a gym. don't diet. it's bad. get a flexible tape measure and work on excercising and eating right to lose inches. that's a much better method. you'll look and feel better in the end.

do not get surgery. it's not your stomach that's the problem, it's you. if you have surgery, it will just be forced to stretch more. it won't solve any problem.

You've got a low self-esteem because your saying your fat. try looking at it a different way. Your overweight, but you are going to do something about it.
When your doing an exercise stick to it and don't stop when you think your going to stop, keep going.
Get involved in a high running sport, or just go for a jog for about an hour a day. This will help lose your weight and raise your self-esteem.
Hope my answer helps. =)

If you want to lose weight fast, then you should try diets similiar to the Atkins, which takes away all carbs and mainly leaves you eating meat, cheese and vegetables. This may not be the healthiest diet, but it definitely has quick results. If you choose this diet, watch your fiber intake, you can get constipated quickly if you don't.
