You might have slower metabolism. You could try exercising though.

Your friends probably play a sport or exercise alot.
The thing that your talking about is a matabulism. Yours is probably slower than most of your friends. To get it up and running faster you have to start a sport, probably a high running sport.
You could also try just running around your block 1-2 times a day, that will help raise your matabulism.

What are you eating? Fast food? Eat small meals about five a day. Always have fruit, veggies and lean meat, fish or chicken. Good Luck. exercise exercise

if you are undereating/depriving your body then it stores everything you eat in fat reserves.
if you are eating healthy amount of food, small meals every 2-3hours then your body gets calories it needs at the moment and optimizes metabolism.

Probably because you don't get enough exercise. Also everyone's metabolism is different. Yours might be slower.
