right here the thing when i found out i was pregnant and told my parents they were fine about it because i am old enough etc
but i noticed they started acting different like they were newly married(all cuddly n all that stuff) they were not really like that as much before and feels like i am having 2 be the parent in the house because they are always doing stuff like blarring music and things that people my age would do. n tbh its startin 2 make me feel out of place.
is that just there way of reacting 2 be grandparents?
this is there first grandchild they are in there early 40s

My parents did act this way when they found out i was pregnant of course my mom was only 34 when i found out. She freaked..and just started dating guys and bringing them home from bars..she even married one..it was completely ridicoulsous ive never seen anything like that!! You need to tell your parents that you dont like the way they are behaving i didnt let my mom see my daugther one time for like 6 months because i didnt like what she was doing. You need to just sit down and talk with them. Goodluck to you and congratulations on the babyQ!

Sounds to me like a mid-life crisis type situation. They found out they are going to be grandparents and they are realizing how old they are getting. They don't feel they are that old by age so they are trying to act like kids again. Haven't been in the situation to say if it is normal or not but it really does sound more like a mid-life crisis then anything else. Don't know that it would help to talk to them about it, but don't think it would hurt too much, you should know your parents well enough to know if it is safe to talk to them about it and if it is then I suggest you talk to them.

Maybe them knowing their going to be a grandparent makes them feel old, so they're going through some sort of crisis, acting childish to somehow counterbalance it. Hopefully before too long it wears down.

It is normal because they probably just feel proud and want to act like it so just go with the flow.

No, actually my mother's response was, "Don't expect me to baby sit." It sounds like your parents are happy for you and themselves.

They are still young and sound happy. That is fantastic!
