The dog got an injured back leg all of a sudden, he is 5 years old, and now seems sick. the only reason i am really worried is becuase 2 of my friends dogs just both got really stiff and then passed away within a week of eachother. they were older but it is still kinda weird that it happened so close together. The vets didnt know what it was that hurt the other dogs. please help if u have any ideas

Something similar happened to my dog. He was just hours away from getting put to sleep when I noticed what the problem was. A tick. Did you check your dog over very well? The vet missed it on my dog. Good luck

If he is fine otherwise, and just suddenly began limping in his rear leg, there's a good chance he hurt his knee and maybe tore a cruciate ligament. Your vet will have to examine him to determine this. Treatment can range from medication and rest to surgery. He shouldn't be sick from this though. If he is sick, I wouldn't wait to see a vet--go to the emergency hospital now.

We had a dog like that too, and it's probably calcium deficiency. If he's starting to drag his lower half, then he'll have trouble getting his poo out... You could try bringing him to another vet, for confirmation; this is just a related thing.
