you gain weight back if you deprive yourself because all you actually lost was water weight and muscle and slowd down your metabolism
find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

I had the same problem until someone told me the easiest most fire proof way of loosing weight. Before you sit down for a meal drink as much water as your body can handle allow your self about 10-15 mins for the water to settle then eat and your body will not want as much food and the water will not retain it will eventually flush out but this is a guaranteed way to loose weight i know it worked for me. And once you reach your desired weight just watch what you eat and eat healthy. Good luck

I do Weight Watchers - I've always been overweight, always had trouble losing...but this plan works (I've lost 40 lbs since last August).
Of course, you have to be in the right place mentally - no diet, fad or otherwise, will work unless you can wrap your head around why you want to lose the weight. Do it to be heathier, live longer, ride a rollercoaster, shop in the non-plus size section - whatever. Find your motivation and a good solid support system...you can do it.

You need to eat about 1500-1700 calories just to maintain your weight on average and exercise regularly. To lose you have to do more exercise and have less calories. Also try to do the things you do to lose weight in the first place, and keep doing them.

I totally understand what you mean. I lived with my aunt and she lost weight and gained it in a short amount of time. But now she is done with that habit because she made herself reminders throughout her house
She would use sticky notes, life quotes, and her calendar to remind herself what she had to do in order to look and feel great. I would suggest this. You said you have no problem losing it, i just think you need something to push you forward.
