Hey all I just installed a pioneer Avic N1 in my Durango. Everything is working great except I am not getting any signal to my amp. The amp is powered up and all but just so audio signal. I have it connected to the hide away unit in the rear out. That’s what the stereo shop said to hook it to. I have the sub feature turned on as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Im looking at the brain (hide away) unit right now the only RCA outs it has in rear out it odes have AV in but I know thats not the ones to use. I know the RCA cables are good because I hooked it back up the old way and they work fine. all wires and cables are good.

The "rear out" on the hide-away unit isn't for adding amplifiers; it's for a rear seat A/V screen. The true front, rear and subwoofer pre-outs are in their own plug that connects to the display unit, not the hide-away unit. All the RCA connections are in a detachable plug, so if you don't see them on the back of the head unit, you'll need to find the plug.

I assume your using the original infinity amp that came with system.. You did not state what amp your using. Those infinity systems are very componet specific. the crappy little wiring adaptor does not work for those amps.
The solution?? remove amp and wire around it and using pioneer amp..
As you probably know there were alot of different sound systems availible for dailmer/chrysler products. One adaptor is not a fit all as they want you to believe, but who would have believed chrysler would sell out to a foreign company especially after we (tax payers) bailed them outa bankruptcy once..

i added a hi fonics amp to my n2 and got no bass, but it was a knob that was on the amp that needed adjustment. you try hooking the RCA's to other parts in the brain? or maybe the RCA's are no good? or not tight? or fell out
