It seems like the only people doing the threatening are the Islamic radicals that preach hate. I'm sure that if you talk to a true Muslim, they could tell you more about the peace full aspects of their religion.

I am a Muslim and I have never ever threatened any one for anything... I mean why would I want to end up in hell for threatening you? Maybe you should talk to a imam at your local Islamic center... They can give you a better understanding of the religion then we can... It would also help to read Quran and Haddith..

No disrespect to you, but why do people criticize Islam in the first place? It makes no sense for people to set themselves up for death threats from extremists. Muslims are threatened with hell-fire and brimstone if they don't accept Jesus and their Lord and Savior.

If there are people who are convinced Islam is not peaceful, then so be it. Muslims must not waste precious time and energy trying to convince people otherwise. That's for The Almighty to deal with, not us.

Do you mean having a "fatwah" issued against them? Salman Rushdie still has a fatwah on his life from Iranian clerics for his writings that are critical of Islam and it's associated beliefs.

Not all Muslims are fanatical suicide bombers, it's just that the media tend to portray them as such. Just like all Christians are not Bible-thumpers petitioning to stop evolution from being taught in schools, it's the loud-mouth radicals who seem to get more attention than the moderates.

well you have to rethink what you are saying I think.. Islam is just like any other major religion... and just like with any other major religion, you have those who are CRAZY fundamentalists, and those who are less into it but still believe.
Take the Christian Right, Fundamentalist Evangelical freakos who preach that you are damned to hell if you do not accept jesus christ as the only true way to heaven, and all those BILLIONS of people who practice Judeaism, Islam, Hinduism, Dao/Taoism, Sihkism, etc. are all going to tell. This is crazy, just as crazy as those fundamentalist muslims who threaten those who dont believe as they do.
Islam teaches peace and compromise, Golden Rule stuff.. just as christianity and judeaism (spelling) do.. but some groups will always take it too far...

I am not of the Islam faith but I notice you Christians threatening non-believers of your faith with the fiery furnaces of hell if they don't accept Jesus as their savior. What is the difference? Getting your head cut off or burning to a chrisp?

I'm a Muslim and I've never threatened anybody. Maybe you are asking belligerent people, or maybe you're asking in a threatening way.

Christians maybe don't threaten to kill you, but it feels like they think about it. You are overgeneralizing, what one Muslim person does nowadays is what they all do, isn't it?

Their peaceful aspect is when everybody who are against them are already dead and silent. So it will be peaceful already.

There isn't - they are taught to kill unbelievers (or infidels.) That's us.
