That's a hard one. Good thing souls don't exist, or we'd have scientists wasting time and research dollars trying to figure it out....

I can only in good conscience respond that the premise that the human 'soul' (aka spirit) is somehow different or a more precious then that of another living creature is sort of an arrogant and rather dangerous assumption. I don't think this is so much a matter of 'genes' as it is one of spiritual insight insofar as the matter of 'souls' is concerned. So, I suppose I must admit that since I don't 'buy' the idea that a chimp (or any other living thing) does not share the blessing of a 'soul', I simply cannot wrap my brain around the premise your question. Blessings...

Here we go again. Always comparing Monkeys with Humans. Which part don't you understand ? The 3% so call difference, means we are not related to Monkeys. It is not an exact match. A Monkey is a speicies all of it's own. It does not have a Soul and will not be recognized by God the Father Almighty. It is an animal. Un-fortunately, animals will not go to Heaven and it reads about that in the Holy Bible. The entire Human body is containing a Soul. So there is no certain %. Good try !!! Many Animals are kinder then some humans, and when you look into the eyes of a Monkey, he/she shows more shine in their eyes then Humans. It is sad to think they will not go to Heaven, but return to the dust.

Interesting...though I'd guess you'd need all 3% to have a soul. They're not asking if people have souls, they're saying that if they do and if chimps don't, what gene makes the difference?

Sorry to disabuse you of the idea but.....the body is of earth and the Soul is separate to that.

The Soul or the Spirit from my viewpoint can alter or manipulate the physical universe.

What I'm saying is it's not up to the genes as to where the Soul is or isn't.

There is no scientific proof that the soul exists. Science can't really explain a lot of things that exist. For example love. Prove love exists. Most people will tell you it's there. I know that there is no proof to the existence of a soul. But I also know that science can't explain everything. Absence of proof is not the same as the proof of absence. I believe we do have a soul, and that god does exist. Because I have taken the leap of faith. And I have experienced many things in my life that I think would be difficult to explain scientifically.

I save sowing love and compassion yet I save harvesting anger, injustice, hate and indifference. No your analogy would not artwork. The modifications do no longer come like that, in a marvelous style, they'd actually on no account are available an entire life's length. those words are basically an person-friendly thank you to appease the ego and provide it wish in a likely hopeless international. the certainty although is plenty bitterer than that. many human beings available are stable hearted and that they continually get hardships jealousy, animosity and mess united statesin their lives. I propose the appropriate occasion of all of them and which thoroughly disproves your thought is JESUS. look at it for a 2nd. Jesus replaced into the embodiment of love, he truthfully sowed effective ability and thoughts around him and look at what he have been given in return!!! What did he harvest? A "superb" crucifixion!!! The worst and maximum humiliating sort of death throughout that element era (Roman era). If that would not convince that your analogy is misguided...i don't recognize what's going to. besides, to declare that sowing hatred will deliver us hatred means that we would desire to continually no longer try this and that i think of this is amazingly unrealistic and egocentric. If we weren't meant to experience hatred in this international, hatred would not exist. it may on no account be experienced. we'd be organic souls without negativity yet we are actually not and as a result we are right here and not on yet another measurement. detrimental thoughts exist b/c they are needed interior the grand scheme of issues. we would desire to continually no longer view them so negatively. they are our classes as much as effective thoughts are. no longer something in creation is ineffective or 'undesirable'. each and everything is stable and has a purpose. so which you mustn't reject detrimental thoughts. they are an element persons and we would desire to continually befriend them, no longer stay away from them. The greater you stay away from them, the greater they approach you and insist to be heard. So it ought to truthfully be the different of what you're asserting: "once you do no longer sow hatred, you harvest greater hatred"!!! because of the fact you forget approximately approximately it and refuse to settle for its existence and admire it for being what that's and playing its appropriate place in this certainty we stay in.

What makes you think the soul is located in the DNA? Afterall we all quite similar DNA, but why are our thoughts different? Because the substance of the soul is not related to the DNA

Souls aren't connected to genes.

Souls are not genetic, they are spiritual. There is no specific gene that give you a soul.

Humans are special creations of God. The souls we possess are unique to us.

Hope this helps.
