I noticed the bump about a week or so ago but it was nothing major. He has a scar down the center of his tummy where he had to have surgery from being mischevious and eating parts of a towel. I thought it was something to do with that because it is in the middle of the scar. However, it has been quite some time since his surgery. This morning I noticed the bump had gotten much much bigger. It feels like a hard grape under his skin. I will take him to the vet Monday, but I just worry! Has anyone experienced this or have any advice?

Could be a cyst or a tumor but it may just be scar tissue from the previous surgery. Wait till Monday take him to the vet and try not to worry about it.

It is not a fatty tumor, they do not grow that fast in a week. Might be a hernia or an abscess. Probably not an abscess as they grow really fast, from nothing to the size of a quarter in about 3 days. Your are not going to get a really good answer from stranger that have not examined your dog. Take to the vet.

It could be a delayed suture reaction or a hernia. Take the dog to the vet on Monday in the mean time warm compress it twice a day for 10 minutes. It may or may not help but it can't hurt.

It could be a hernia from the surgery. I would get it checked out at the vets on Monday.

Umm, you should try to take him to a vet as soon as possible. It could be a tumor, or a hernia. Both of which are very serious. try not to wait until Monday if you can go sooner.

Probably just a fatty tumor. I also wanted to say that I'm a HUGE fan of Mini doxies. I hope the little fella doesn't eat anything else he shouldn't! We had a mini doxies once. She was quite the little devil herself.

Hope everything goes well on Monday!

Best of Wishes to you and your mini doxie!

Don't worry until the vet has seen it, unless it's causing the dog discomfort.
