Do you ever star an outrageous or idiotic question just so your contacts will see it to go give an intelligent answer?

Do you find that the lack of knowledge from people of certain faiths hurts those who really are seeking answers?

Yes I do and yes I agree it does.

At least we are talking though. The next worst thing would be if these people were not attempting some sort of dialogue at all. Besides, there is always someone who knows something that I do not and I hope that the reverse holds true. So, I strive to keep grounded with it all. I know I don't know everything!

That is what draws me here. The sharing is so important even when it seems ridiculously basic or even outrageiously ignorant.

When I have an intense reaction to something someone else says on here I try to put myself in their shoes. Not always, but I try. I know very well that some people don't like what I have to say or how I say it!!!! A few have been quite direct about it! I don't hide my feelings about some things I see hear and I don't intend to back down because it hits a nerve with someone else. I have had plenty of my nerves hit here!

I think it is very important that people realize how disrespectful they really are in their fundemental belief about people outside their religion, race, gender and so on. We all need to be called on things now and then. Then we have to inventory and see if it is a valid commentary. I went so far as to test myself against other sources to see if I was as unfair as a couple of people accused me of. I came off very well actually. So, it was still agood experience in terms of awareness.

I am learning a lot here. I was browzing 360's last night and was blown away by some of the things I saw there. It's amazing what people share here and having that insight into peoples inner most sanctom in some cases is such a privelage!

I am so struck be some of the most humble people that put photo's of themselves and their real names up on here. There are some people here that have such courage it astounds me at so many levels.

I think of artists as pretty much the main source for raw exposure...I stand corrected!

So, as for your last question does the lack of knowledge of certain faiths 'hurt' those who are really seeking answers?...yes! But! It also creates contrast and there is a lot to be learned from seeing that. So maybe it is like the berry bush. A harsh winter or a severe pruining just brings a bountiful harvest in the spring.

If it confuses people...hurts the fledgling plant by blocking out the sun, or if it ...hurts...us in our more vulnerable places within, perhaps in the long run, it will actually serve to demonstraight, educate, fine tune our abilities to descern between what is and what is something else not just in those of us who think we are at least afloat with all this but with the sort of people you are referring to here with this question.

Does that make sense?

Peace and love,

Jamie

Well, your one of my contacts and I caught on pretty quickly that you do it. Half the time, I use what my contacts star to help me wade through all this! Especially, if I've been away for hours (one can only hope). Good questions and ones that shouldn't go unnoticed have at maximum 10 minutes of active airtime and then the rest trinkles in, if at all.

AS for your second question. Alot of things about the nature of Y!A hurt those seeking answers.

No to the first part; Yes to the latter. I'm so shocked there are people in the world so ignorant...I mean, either I have been extremely naive, or...this whole world has become such a horrible, bitter place where no one can see love...they just want to kill each other over b.s. The ignorant people here ruin it for the others who search for actual answers....

I haven't really starred much - but that is a good idea. It's not so much the lack of knowledge that gets me - its the close-mindedness. I'm really here to pick at those who have have shut themselves into their own reality - Like a monkey knocking on a coconut shell.

Absolutely! Not so often, but I do when they're stinkin' bad. Like, O-dor-OUS. Like SMELLY-YYY. Like fish on Mondays.

Then there are some I just link to! Here's a live one:

I find that the Naziooligans who delete every non-Christian question because so many are so insecure in their faith they feel the need to report others for ABSOLUTELY NO REASON are dangerous to people seeking answers. Questions of religion and spirituality are subjective. Period. There are no 'real' answers, just people who think they have them. Like myself. :-) Because I do.

YOU know! You started my church, my little lovemuffin!

Yeah. But I usually star it to see the outrageous or idiotic answers.

I think a question should only be starred if the person believes it to be an interesting question.

Yes, I definitely think that some of the misinformation spouted by pseudo-experts here hurts those who are misled by it believing that it is actually true.

Yes, I sarcastically star questions all the time. I am also thinking about asking really strange questions in other catagories just as joke for my contacts.
