Sounds serious. Take him to the vet, don't try to guess what is wrong. The vet will help you, and give you a treatment plan.

Good luck!

Your dog obviously has an injury that is causing him a great deal of pain. Take him immediately to a vet. If you don't have the money for a vet, try calling around and finding one who will let you make payments for the treatment. But, whatever you do, don't let your dog remain in pain when he may be suffering from something that could be corrected, like a broken hip or some kind of internal injury.

Hmmm... He sounds fine to me.. What makes you think there's a problem ??
Don't take my word for anything.. I am NOT a vet.. But you could find one that would be able to tell you what the problem is.. Sounds like he is in pain.. Yet you sit around and wonder what's going on??

Does it matter what it is?? Go to the vet and find out, he obviously doesn't feel well and you getting hints ahead of time isn't going to change things.

Sounds like he may have arthritis, hip dysplasia, or some pain in his spine. All are common ailments as dogs age. Fortunately, there are a number of options to keep your dog mobile and reduce any pain he's feeling. Go see your vet.

You need to see your veterinarian. You usually don't see a sudden onset of arthritis that is something that takes place overtime. With what your describing it definitely sounds like he's painful and my first thought is a back injury. These injuries can get worse if left untreated.

This sounds like a broken bone in or near his/her leg. Also, dogs tails are comprised of a nerve column. Nerve injuries are SERIOUS. Get vet help!

Was he ever x-rayed for hip displasia? The arthritis associated with displasia usually starts crippling them in later years - very painful. Going upstairs puts more pressure on the hips than downstairs. Have him checked out.

If it's benn a few days and hasn't gotten better you need to take youdog to the vets. It could be as simple as arthritis or it could be something much more serious. SO OT WAIT GET IT TO THE VeTS

By the answers you've already read, you defiantely need to see your vet. Immediately! My dog (I had her but she died) acted just like that. Does your dog fall down out of nowhere? If he does, then he might have a tumor near his tail. That's what happened to my dog, but if you get him treated soon, maybe he won't die from it like mine did. Please get a vet appointment.

Best of Wishes to you and your dog!
