Christians ,would you even exist if it were not for Judaism?
Muslims, would you even exist if it were not for Judaism and Christianity?
Christians who hate Judaism are children who hate their mother and ditto for Protestants to Catholicism and Muslims to Jews and Christians. Does it help to remind the people of their roots?

That there would be no Protestantism without Catholicism, which is the source of the Creeds and NT canon that Protestantism is built on. Christians have to respect Judaism as a foundation of their monotheism (ditto for Islam's debt to Judaism),OT and messianic hopes.

There were split-off right from the beginning but they broke off from "Early Catholicism"(unless they were gnostic or Ebionite, which would be outside thios family tree). All Protestant groups have to trace their roots back to Catholicism.

We are all the Children of the God of Abraham. People in the same family need to know and respect each other and their connections.

Forty,
Oh ,please! Irreligion,as in atheistic Communism, has been far more a curse than religious fanaticism, which has been and is (with Islamist suicide/murderers) a scourge to us and mockery of God.

Ivan,
It's because I've read the history that I'm putting out this reminder. With bigotry, history repeats itself. Fundamentalists of all religions( and of irreligions) need to be reminded of our family connections.

Let's all get along.
1-Would Christians exist if not for Judaism: NO. The Jews rejected Jesus as their savoir. Christians accept him. That's all the difference right there.
2-Would protestants exist if not for Catholicism? NO. The Protestant reformation came about because a lot of rituals in the middle-aged Catholic church were not Biblically-based.
I don't know much about the Muslim religion; but yes, you are right to say that it reminds us of our roots. Ideally, nobody would hate anyone else of a different religion because that's why God gave us free will--to believe what we choose.

There were Christiand before the Catholic church. Initially called members of the way or Nazarenes and considered as part of Judaism.Later there came the seperation and centuries later the promotion of the bishop of Rome . But even then you have the schism with the Eastern Orthodox church ( not to mention the Coptics) which has lasted for centuries and was much earlier than the Protestant reformation

Most "born again" believers, remember Jesus said the ONLY way to be saved was to be born again. Well in ages past Catholic Inquisitions murdered many true followers of Christ.
Whether these inquistors where witches posing as clergy to kill Gods people, .like they did in the Salem witch trials or were just sick in the head or stupid, God only knows.

Religion is insanity. Truth is deliverance from it.

True, all came from Catholicism. But since Catholic teaching was abused and made an absolute authority over the people by the catholic church, therefore God has to make His teaching to the right direction again, He used Luther.

Once catholic church ordered the followers to buy a paper of forgiveness, some who couldn't afford them attempt suicide.
What do you think of this?

Servant will not rebel against kind and understanding master.
