Why can't we just ask well thought out and intelligent questions and have people give well thought out and intelligent answers as well? Is it that some people feel the need to talk down to others to make themselves seem more intelligent or make their position look stronger? Don't they realize that it doesn't make them look intelligent or strong at all but instead it makes them look ignorant and foolish as well and weak in their position? What are your thoughts on all of the things I'm saying and asking?

You hit the nail right on the head.

Why can't we? Because it is too much like work.

It's just easier to bash and scream.

Hi. Happy Sabbath. U r so right. Can't we all just agree to disagree agreeably? Must people be yelled at; shut down; etc. bc of a different view? Can't things b discussed w/o argument? I've learned that "Right Fighters" (thanks, Dr. Phil), are insecure bullying people. Opinions should b respected; facts speak for themselves.
By the way, Sister Payton Marie or Sister Cor Jesus (St. Mary's Grammar School--Jackson Heights, Queens, NY circa 1966) taught us that arguing an opinion is a waste of time bc it's endless and pointless. I believe there r as many opinions as there are people, so why waste time arguing? Why beat someone or even murder someone for disagreeing????

Take care.

There are people out there who enjoy showing off their "superiority" over others. They are paranoid and insecure concerning their own beliefs. In all likelihood, they're not very knowledgeable about their own beliefs, either. Being in "attack mode" all the time makes them feel good, but it's not very smart.
