I thought heaven was up in the sk somewhere. Why does it say God will recreate a new earth. So does that mean when you die you have to wait till the new earth is recreated to dwell in heaven which they call paradise?

It is PEOPLE, who don't know God or his Word, who say that paradise is in heaven, not God. God's Word clearly says that the earth is the reward of the saved (Matthew 5:5, 6:10, Luke 19:17-19, 2 Peter 3:13, Revelation 5:10) -- a new earth. And yes, you, like everyone else, will have to wait until resurrected before enjoying the renewed earth (unless, of course, you are among those who are resurrected at the time of Jesus' return -- then you would have a part in making the earth a paradise).

People have read in many places in the Bible that our reward is in heaven, but they fail to read that when Jesus returns to the earth, our reward is WITH him:
Isaiah 40:10 -- Behold, the Lord God shall come with a strong hand, And His arm shall rule for Him; Behold, His reward is with Him, And His work before Him. (Also, 62:11)
(Matthew 16:27)
Revelation 22:12 -- "And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.

When God's plan is concluded, God will come to dwell with men on the earth, not men go to heaven:
Revelation 21:3 -- And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God.

As for waiting, Job mentions this in Job Job 14:14 -- "If a man dies, shall he live again? All the days of my hard service I will WAIT, Till my change comes."

He knew that at the resurrection of the just (at the return of Jesus Christ), he would be changed from mortal to immortal (1 Corinthians 15:51-57), "Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed--in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality."

But it is not that you would notice the wait. The dead are dead, unconscious -- not conscious somewhere waiting. This too is clear in the Bible, but people choose not to believe the Word of God.

This is a deep question but I will try to make it as short as I can. Heaven is a spiritual realm above and beyond the sky, so to speak. When a Christian dies, some theologians believe that their spirit goes instantly to "paradise" or Heaven because of what Christ said to the thief on the cross next to Him. Others believe that Christians are just dead until Christ returns at His 2nd coming and then they are resurrected. Either way, a Christian will have a spiritual, glorified body. When Christ returns, He will defeat the anti-christ and chain Satan up for a thousand years and Jesus will live on THIS earth along with the resurrected Christians and the people who will be transformed in a twinkling of an eye (alive Christians). After a 1000 years, Satan is released for a little while-the Bible is mysteriously vague on this part-and then defeated for all time and thrown into the lake of fire. Then, this earth is rolled up like a scroll, it says, and basically discarded and the Great White Throne Judgment takes place-non-christians and the people who lived before Christ. After that, a new heaven and earth is made for the saved. It is called the "New Jerusalem." I personally believe that when Christians die, they are just dead and know nothing-like before we were born-and then are raised at Christ's second coming. When Jesus told the thief on the cross that he would be with Christ today in paradise, I believe a day is as a thousand years. Jesus wasn't in paradise THAT DAY but was resurrected 3 days later and ascended to Heaven 40 days later-Book of Acts. Anyway, God is eternal and Jesus is God in the flesh so it will SEEM like today. Just like I believe that what scientists call evolution is just really the process of God creating. He didn't twitch His nose like Bewitched but took millions of years to make whatever it was He was making. Thus, there was a design to the process by a designer. But to Christians, whether it is immediate or when Christ returns, it will seem instantaneous. Read Revelations, chapter 21. P.S. There is absolutely nothing in the Bible about a rapture or purgatory.

God has promised to create a new heaven and a new earth.
(2 Pet.3:10-13)

The Holy City will descend from God out of heaven.
( Rev. 21:1-5)

When Jesus comes He will take us to heaven to live and reign for 1000 years. We will judge the world and angels.
(1 Corinthians 6:1-3 and Revelation 20:4)

Then after the 1000 years God will bring the New Jerusalem with the saints in it to this earth where the wicked and Satan will try to take it over...that is when God will destroy the wicked a second time with fire. They will not burn forever but the results of their destruction is forever.
(Revelation 20:7-10
Ezekial 28:17,18
Isa 47:14
Ob. 16)

The question of what happens after death can be confusing. The Bible is not explicitly clear on when a person will reach their final eternal destiny. The Bible tells us that after the moment of death, a person is taken to Heaven or Hell based on whether he or she had received Christ as his or her Savior. For believers, after death is to be "away from the body and at home with the Lord" (2 Corinthians 5:6-8; Philippians 1:23). For unbelievers, after death means everlasting punishment in Hell (Luke 16:22-23).

This is where it can get confusing as to what happens after death. Revelation 20:11-15 describes all those in Hell being cast into the lake of fire. Revelation chapters 21-22 describe a New Heaven and New Earth. Therefore, it seems that until the final resurrection, after death a person resides in a “temporary” Heaven and Hell. A person's eternal destiny will not change, but the precise "location" of a person's eternal destiny will change. At some point after death, believers will be sent to the New Heavens and New Earth (Revelation 21:1). At some point after death, unbelievers will be thrown into the lake of fire (Revelation 20:11-15). These are the final, eternal destinations of all people - based entirely on whether a person had trusted Jesus Christ alone for the salvation of their sins.

After God cleanses this earth by getting rid of all the evil and satan for good. He will purify it by fire, and restore it to the beauty is was in the very beginning. And all those who went to heaven at the Rapture will live on the new earthly paradise that God has restored with Him and His Son Jesus. Praise the Lord!

Paradise-Of Oriental origin (compare [H6508]); a park, that is, (specifically) an Eden (place of future happiness, “paradise”): - paradise.

No, God's original purpose for man was that they live forever on a paradise earth. Adam and Eve would still be alive today if they had not sinned. God's purpose can not be thwarted. His original purpose for mankind will be realized by means of the merits of Jesus' Ransom sacrifice. You can live forever on earth. This is a primary teaching of Jehovah's Witnesses. .
Sad for you that the Genesis account does not say the Adam and Eve would live for ever but rather, restricted them from the tree of life just as they were restricted from the tree of knowledge, “…in the middle of the garden…” that is where both trees are in the Genesis account.

Yet again, followers of the Watchtower teachings have exposed themselves to the teachings of men and not the scripturesl. Are you living a lie?

No. all of us at the instant are not worth. as a result it somewhat is named undeserved kindness and he's standard because of the fact the merciful God. We carry forth approximately "desire". we don't carry forth which you will somewhat be in paradise, we consistently say, we are hoping to be in paradise. Peter displayed too lots self belief whilst Jesus exchange into approximately to pass to path. Jesus informed Peter that he could deny him three times. Peter did no longer have confidence he could desire to fall that truthfully. yet he did. same with us. we are able to have too lots self belief that we are infallible and we should be in paradise. we are examined daily and we fail by using our imperfection. Peter regarded his errors and picked himself decrease back up returned. We do an analogous so we are able to declare we've "the desire".

If you believe in Jesus and His Father in heaven, when you die you will go to be with Him no matter where He is.

The new heaven and earth are a long time away. You will not need to be concerned with that in this lifetime.
