I'm not hateful nor am I ignorant. I do however disagree with the assumption that all Jehovah's Witnesses are wonderful people and the world would be better if we all were like them.
Here's why. Thousands of young children have been molested by members of this church and Elders of this church. And It has been covered up and the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society has helped cover it up as well as the Elders in local branches.
I know this from person experience.I know it is covered up. My father was an Elder. As I said I am not ignorant.
There is a big problem within the organization with this. Please feel free to look at the links below. I do not stand alone sir.
I personally feel very sad for the thousands of children who have been the innocent victims of child predators and have suffered so much.
I don't believe that's what God had in mind for his most innocent sheep

It may very well be true.
But the same can be said that if everyone lived as a Christian, there would be no war, crime, exploitation, stealing, etc. Same with orthodox Judaism. Same with Mormonism.(although there would be polygamy, which might lead to other types of mayhem) Or Buddhism.
So what's your point?
Human beings are not capable of this, even Jehovah's witnesses.

This comment is not based on hate or ignorance, rather on real life experience being raised as a JW and observation of multiple congregations.....there would be lots of crime that exists still, only it would be swept under the rug. It wouldn't really involve murder or theft, rather more things like child molestation, rape, and drug use. These are the crimes that tend to originate out of a suppressed and unhappy soul.
The fact is that no matter how perfect Witnesses would like to imagine the world to be, it would still be inhabited by imperfect human beings until, as their interpretation goes Armageddon arrives and the meek would inherit the earth and live forever in paradise. Don't get me wrong, not all JWs are bad people, in fact I know some very good, dear, and loving people who are Witnesses, but there is a culture of us against them existing at its core that creates oppression and ignorance among its followers.

Someone that said this would be wrong. I would say that they laid a load of bunk on you, but you might say that is an ignorance based comment.
1. Look in the Kingdom Hall at the back row. You won't be able to talk to them for 6-12 months. The Watchtower relegates people to that spot if they want to exploit or punish them in some way.
2. What about the people that the Watchtower spits out? They kick about 10% of their population out every year for one reason or other. How would they fit with this description?
Unfortunately, this notion you asked about is as myopic as the Bahai's telling us that if we all spoke Esperanto, there would be no wars any more.

This question came to my mind not long ago when a JW made a post in a different forum. WOULD that really be true?
On the surface, they spin a good yarn regarding neutrality. They say they don't go to war, live peaceful lives and don't participate in politics.
Does their observable conduct bear this out completely?
No. It doesn't. Tales of their hypocrisy, traceable in their publications, show that they are willing to convolute their policies depending on what's at stake for them as an "organization."
In the news -- the regular media -- there are stories of witness families being murdered by a zealous parent, who then kills himself. There are the cases of abuse, obviously. That's not peaceful or crime-free. Witnesses have been known to defraud and steal and, oh yes, really, cheat on their taxes and skip out on child support payments. The story they play up is not the reality. They are NOT the pristine example they pretend to be.
The story would be great. If it worked. But they prove every day that it does not.

You must have meant if everyone lived as a Jehovah's Witness is SUPPOSED to live. Do you actually believe that ALL Jehovah's Witnesses are capable of that? Why do they find it necessary to excommunicate people?
If everyone was a GOOD (insert religion here), the same thing could be said of any religion.

Well, that would be true, because Jehovah's Witnesses live by principles that prevent those things. Jehovah's Witnesses are, in general, a people of self-control and moderation. I also think if everyone lived as Jehovah's Witnesses there would be little to no direct connection to God and little to no witness of the Holy Spirit.... everything would be expressed in very intellectual (and somewhat faulty) terms. I respect the goodness of the laws by which Jehovah's Witnesses live, but I feel it is a vast pity that they teach their adherents how to live in fear of every other religion on earth.
Added: Very nicely worded question, Mitch. :-)

It isn't correct to assume everything would be rosey if the world's people all adopted the belief of the JWs... but there would be far less conflict under a single belief system than there is right now under widely differing systems.
Whether it is as JWs or Atheists, any homogeneous organization would find it much more difficult to fight on a wider scale with in itself.
But of all the choices there are... JW is the very last one that I would suspect as being a possible candidate for the world's people to gather into. I'm hanging my hat on the atheist rack.... Atheism, it's the logical choice.

I sort of agree with you, however, no one is perfect. I have known 1 or 2 Jehovah's Witnesses that I wouldn't trust to save my life. I think that you could say it about religion in general.

If everyone lived as a Jehovah's Witness everyone would be out knocking on doors on Saturday morning and there would be no one home to answer.
Or we could all convert and be Muslims, right?
Seriously though, Jesus said we should "Love our Neighbor as we love ourself." Woudn't that be enough? Without converting everyone to YOUR denomination?
Of course the reason Jesus had to die on the cross for our sins is that all of us people, whether we are Muslims or Mormons, or Catholics, or Lutherans or Baptists or whatever we are, are sinners.
And sinners don't always "Love their neighbor", do they?
