It's funny, I walked a mile in an atheist's shoes and came up with a really great truth of reality. By rejecting God, you reject the possibility of infinite happiness, but at the same time, you prevent and sever the possibility of infinite sadness.

So here's being stuck in the middle!

I was an atheist for fifteen years I felt sad constantly and felt like a lost sheep so I can relate to what your saying.

A atheist hell would be to be forced to sat, listen and learn because most atheist have closed their minds to learning anything new. I remember I hated other peoples ideas when I was an atheist because I felt I knew enough.

Atheist hell is being stuck in a church with a million fundies preaching the truth of the bible. But we get that everyday.

Spiritually speaking, there is no hell for atheists because we don't believe in it. We make our happiness here on earth.

Delusional people telling others that god wants you to suffer so you can be strong and it's that individual's time to go home to the lord. Many other delusional answers to some questions that involves the downs of life. Oh for a death of a baby it wasn't time for that child be in this world. Very kind words for people that grieve the loss of someone close to them huh?

I *have* infinite happiness -- here and now. I am not waiting for a mythical figure to whisk me off to Magic Land if I am very, very good. I am good for its own sake, and reap the rewards of a life well lived RIGHT NOW.

Infinite happiness? Who wants to live forever anyway? I always find that to be the ultimate in selfishness.

You're not stuck in the middle; you're still enslaved by the old Goat Herder mentality.

I'm a non-believer of a singular deity. I find myself in agreement most with the philosophy that, if you do 'bad' things in one lifetime, it will carry over into the next-not exactly punishment, more, a result.
Kinda like, if you eat bad meat, you get food poisoning.
