But I've got eczema. Will I able to get a tattoo with this condition or will it be up to me whether I want one or not. Will the artist refuse to do a tattoo as I have eczema? I know of some tattoo places that refuse to do people due to diabetis, heart conditions etc...
Thanks

You shouldn't get turned away for having eczema and wanting to get a tattoo in the same area. Just check to make sure that you have an artist that has sterilized equipment and everything should be fine.

Personally, I wouldn't get a tat over my eczema (sp?). However, I do have some eczema on my elbows, and have a tattoo just down from there on the soft inside of my arm. Considering you'll be moisturising the tat, it should help your eczema too!
Don't let people put you off!
Ask tattooed friends/relatives where they got their tattoos and shop around- don't jump in the first chair because the guy offered to do you a tat for £20! I know people who've done this and come out not only with a terrible tat, but also a terrible opinion of tattoos. Such a shame.
Whoever said 'just get it removed'... don't even go there. Tattoos aren't like false nails love, they're there for life because THEY DON'T COME OFF! That's what they're for!
Oh yeah- and don't go anywhere near henna 'tattoos'- they'll make your eczema burn like hell!

I'd love to get a Japanese style sleeve with flowers and koi fish...but yeah that's never going to happen because I can't handle pain well. >.> BQ: I actually do plan to get a small anchor on my right wrist, it has a lot of significance so it wouldn't be a spur of the moment thing. I've actually thought about it for over a year now. I really really would love to follow through with it when I turn 18 in a few months...but well...I was told the placement I want it would hurt so bad no matter the size of the tattoo because it's on a bone... D: BQ2: Yeah, actually! This Friday, I'm graduating high school and I'll probably be chilling with some friends the rest of the weekend. ^^ BQ3: No, I haven't. I'm not a big risk taker. xD

I have eczema and I have two tattoos - neither of which have caused me any problems. I was a little worried at first, but I decided to take the risk. I think it should be fine as long as you don't have the tat done over an eczema-tous area. Also, the ink goes quite far down into the skin, but eczema tends to affect the surface.

well unless the eczema is on the exact spot that you want your tattoo, you have nothing to worry about i have a friend who has eczema on her arms and she has a tattoo on her hip....its no big deal just talk to the tattoo artist about it
good luck
they hurt like a biotch but its worth it

tattoos can aggravate eczema so you may want to consult with your dermatologist before you get the tattoo. will you be getting it on an affected part of your body? definitely something to talk over first with a physician.
good luck tho!!

I have psoriasis which is similar and they told me to go for it. It never affected the tattoo, meaning I didn't break out in the place where I got it after I got the tattoo. I would say go for it but don't get it anywhere that's prone to break outs.
