"History is being distorted by many preachers and politicians. They are heard on the airwaves condemning atheists and routinely claim Adolph Hitler was one. What a crock! Hitler was a Roman Catholic, baptized into that religio-political institution as an infant in Austria. He became a communicant and an altar boy in his youth, and was confirmed as a 'soldier of Christ' in that church. The worst doctrines of that church never left him. He was steeped in its liturgy, which contained the words, 'perfidious Jew.' This hateful statement was not removed until 1961. Perfidy means treachery."

"Among those allies were Catholic bishops. LIke the Nazis, Catholic bishops opposed democracy, opposed autonomy — personal, political, and religious — opposed self-determination, opposed women's rights, opposed rights for Jews, and opposed just about everything else that helps characterize the modern world. It would have been absurd for Catholic bishops not to give at least qualified support to the Nazi regime."

"Postwar Christian apologists have put perhaps their greatest efforts into creating the myth that Adolf Hitler was not a Christian. An entire cottage industry seems to have sprung up around the desire to perpetuate this myth, and while its motivations are perfectly understandable (who would want to be associated with Hitler in any way?), its dishonesty is unjustifiable. The truth, however uncomfortable, is still the truth."
. . .
"He believed that Jesus of Nazareth was an Aryan, not a Jew, and that Jesus fought the Jews and was killed by them. He believed in life after death, the supreme being, and universal creation. He opposed the Catholic church only because its seat of power was in Rome, not Berlin. He was intolerant of competing versions of Christianity (an approach lifted directly from the Catholic playbook), but at no time did he ever commit acts or express beliefs which were not expressed by other Christians before him such as Martin Luther (as well as certain Christians after him, right up to this day. The mere fact that the Lutherans refuse to change their name is very revealing; if there was a Hitlerian church, don't you think it would have changed its name?)"

The Catholic church has a Concordat with maximum countries, don't get the vast deal with reference to the German Concordat. those asserting Hitler have been a Christian have on no account truthfully study something approximately Hitler. He wrote a poem to Odin throughout WW1, he reported it could have been greater valuable if Islam replaced into the dominant faith of Europe than Christianity and in accordance to those near to Hitler, Hitler replaced into defined as being an agnostic to being an atheist.

People keep saying Catholic.
This seems highly unlikely, as he persecuted Catholics.
I would GUESS some form of Protestant, most likely Lutheran.
Edit after a quick search: oops! My bad. Catholic it is.
I wonder, then, why the Nazi's went after the Catholics?
I guess their allegience to the Pope made them less than ideal Nazi's or something.
Second Edit, after actually READING: He was RAISED Catholic, but rejected it. He was basically Christian, of the non-Catholic variety.

Long ago I read that he was a devout catholic. He also had his own brand of occultism and was reported to have had close ties with the Thule Society- the ones who made all the predictions that never came true.

He was Jewish by birth (his mother was Jewish), but raised Catholic. However, he became heavily involved with the occult soon after he got out of the military.

He thought he was god. No seriously. A very fascinating subject, he tried to combine worship of old pagan gods with christian belief and the nazi "cult of blood." They had sacred objects and everything.

Hi. Happy Sabbath. Hitler was NOT Christian. If he were, he would NOT have done the horrible things he did. He was NOT appointed by God. Take care.
