As an atheist I can say it is some one who needs evidence before I blindly believe! As I wasnt around to witness events in biblical times I cant just accept the bullshit ....however if there was the technology we have today to provide my evidence ie DNA testing for example to prove Jesus was not a product of human but that of god I may fall for it.......sorry but you did ask

Your definition is wrong. Its "someone that doesn't believe in any god". Most Atheists used to be Christian.

The word 'yet' falsely implies that it WILL happen.
If god's so great, why is he lost?
But, never mind.
An atheist is someone who does not belive in supernatural beings; a rational person.

I like your definition, but I respect people whatever they do or dont believe in. They may never find God & Im ok with that.

a spiritual being who does not yet recognize that he or she is. We are all spiritual beings, God created everyone and everything. Just because someone doesn't see yet how this could be true doesn't mean anything other than that.

and what about those that had but found by reading the bible and all the suffering in parts of the world they concluded there isn't such a thing?
