I find the people in Baja to be rude, crude, and all around unappealing...anywhere in Mexico the people are friendly?

I HAVE BEEN TO PUERTO VALLERTA 4 TIMES AND NEVER ONCE DID I EVER FIND ANYONE RUDE , THEY ALWAYS BENT OVER BACKWARDS TO DO AND GIVE YOU ANYTHING YOU NEEDED...I THINK IT WOULD BE A WONDERFUL PLACE TO LIVE*

I live just outside of Puerto Vallarta and love it. As a tourist years ago, I found out not to make eye contact as long as I was in the "tourist" zone. Also, I´ve found out that Mexican people are very rude and selfish "publicly", but as individuals, they can be very sweet. First off, if you come here, don´t look for problems. Also read something about the customs and morals of Mexico. Try to stay away from the "touristy" areas. Mainland Mexico has low regards for Baja, and now you know why.

I am an 40 year old male living now in PV. Originally I am from Germany and of this view I have to say that the people here are very well educated. As my hobby is surfing i am all the days together with younger man and I learned how they are.
They will try to talk to any girl they are interested in. In Germany this behaviour is impossible, but here it is normal. If You have no interest just say NO and they go. The intention of this behaviour is not offensive at all. Its they way to get in contact.
Just be careful with friends of drugs and alcohol. Avoid them.
And, its a pitty, but the truth, be careful with tourists. They often believe that vacation is a guarantee to find sexual adventures and think that all girls and woman are interested to have the same.

well not all ppl in baja are rude dont say all..Friendly and rude people are everywhere in all countries we all know that.I go to Puerto Vallarta and well ya its better than Cabos in my opinion but there are some rude ppl like anywhere else.I just ignore them.

Depends on who you are hanging out with .... but generally I'd say the closer to the border you are - the less 'normal' people are

Hey, I am an American woman living in the state of Veracruz and find the people here to be courteous and delightful. There are a few gringos around here, but not many. My Mexican friends treat me WONDERFULLY...I love it here.

You will find what you left. It's a cultural thing toward women, if you want to get away from it you have to leave Mexico.
