Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery this is a standardized test for all military branches, army, navy, air force, marines, etc. Its kind of like the sat tests only more detailed. This test shows your knowledge and the score you receive gives the recruiter a list of MOS's (military Ocupational Specialty's) that your elegible for.

it's a general topic test, reasoning ability, ability to make decisions, attention to detail, etc... to see what career fields (you want a guaranteed "a" school, get it in writing) you're best suited for...you have to take it to join any branch of the military
