My life isn't sad, I think you are projecting your own emotions and feelings onto us.

i've got by no ability heard an atheist say that... maximum all of us has a purpose and the factor to existence is what you're making it. And we do exactly exist and die which makes our existence very helpful because of the fact there is not any afterlife... and that i'm far from unhappy, i'm 60 and function had a great existence... So get your tale at cutting-edge in the previous espousing your questionable 'information' of others...

Why would you ask a question like that? As a Christian, I take offence because you, if you are a Christian, should never pose such a question to non-believers. Christian's are supposed to walk in love. Do you think that an atheist WANTS to know more about God when a CHRISTIAN is asking such an awful question? You should be ashamed of yourself.

Also, non-believers (people who haven't accepted Christ) go to hell after death. You should do everything you can to do something about that and be a light to these people, not the opposite.

Sad life? The only thing that would make my life sad is if I believed there was some magical man in the sky watching over me at all times. Freedom from religion is a great thing.

My don't we seem to have a bit of superiority complex....

Unless you know every atheist on earth and have inspected each one of their lives you have just created a generalization. Also, your question is judgmental. Doesn't your religion espouse that only your deity does the judging or is that something some of you ignore when it doesn't suit your own personal agendas?

Many atheists have happy and fulfilling lives and they are in no way any worse than you. After seeing that question, I'd say they are a good deal better.

Everyone has a point to their lives, whether you think so or not. Atheism is sad to me, because I cannot imagine not having God to turn to when I am in need. On the other hand, atheists cannot even imagine such a thing. I think we need to be a little more understanding.

*giggle* Sorry but my life is far from "sad"... as a matter of fact I'm having a great weekend and a very good life... I have good friends, wonderful Dharma friends, and have learned much in my life... I hardly call THAT "sad".

Most of the Atheists who I know are far happier in their life than their far poorer religious friends.

The point of Atheism is that there is no point. Life is just an accident and it really does not matter how you behave. You can be moral if you like, or immoral. It really does not matter.

I wouldn't say all the Atheists I know are sad, the ones on Yahoo answers are a pretty sad bunch but you can't say that this small sample is indicative of all Atheists. Majority, maybe, but not all.

Today it has been to counter bigotted questions from small minded fools, like you as an example.

How do you know that my life is sad?
Does it bother you that I choose my own purpose while you had yours handed to you?

you can't judge someone by their belief system. As often as not, non-believers may actually be more spiritual than believers. It's how a person is and how they treat their fellow man which is their real religion, not what they claim is their religion
