does it matter how you get the fiber as long as get it from foods not supplements?

The amounts that a 14 year old should be getting are the same as adults. 11.5g per 1,000 calories consumed. That's about 16- 22g per day depending on how many calories she consumes. It's alot! And, it's hard to find good foods with a high fiber content too.

anywhere between 25-35g a day and it doesnt matter from what foods you get them although they are mostly in fruit and veggies
