They can build Mosques if they want and pay for them themselves, my only objection is when the Government Pay for them.

We are better than Pakistan and we allow people to worship what Gods they like.

Hi!

There are churches in Pakistan. What made you think there were none?

In the west we see Jewish / Muslim / Christian relations via the Middle East. If we saw the respect and cooperation between the Abrahamnic faiths in Syria, for example, we might have an entirely more positive view.

The first wave of Christianisation of Britain was a sharing between Paganism and Christianity, which is why we share the same festivals at Easter and Christmas, for example, and why the archbishop of Canterbury is a Druid. It was peaceful and received with joy. Then a political wave asserted itself at the Whitby Council and power and politics entered the mix.

Your question warrants a far more detailed answer than it is possible to give here, but I hope to have shown that there are other takes on this than you have yet, perhaps, experienced.

Good wishes.

why wouldn`t it be legal .The Government have no say over what religious beliefs a person has ,and rightly so .Its not as if were even particularly religious ,How many white English people actually go to Church apart from Christenings weddingsand funerals
and your wrong about there being no churches in Pakistan there are and there are also Churches and Christians in most Arabic countries aswell .it would be better if you checked your facts in future

It's legal because we're a country of supposed religious equality.

As an atheist, I'm about as bothered by mosques as I am by churches, that is, not at all.

I don't care where or how people worship as long as they're not hurting people (and before you ask, the religion of Islam doesn't hurt people...just some of its misguided followers do) and they're not asking me to join in.

Live and let live, there's enough hatred in the world without adding to it over something as pathetic as this.

Remember all God homes came from the Middle East Churches and Mosques . What you have in the UK is an English Mosque.

When your question starts with an outright lie such as "In the Muslim world there is a blanket ban on the building of churches", nothing further that you say has any credibility. Saudi Arabia is a horrible, brutal, repressive country. Why would you want our freedoms and rights to be modelled on Saudi Arabia?

Do you know that there are Pakistani Christians and Churches in Pakistan. If people want to build places of worship let them. Aslong as they dont get in my way.

The trouble is we are a tolerant liberal democracy. TLD has not evolved yet in Pakistan, and all the other Muslim countries..If they can get away with establishing a toehold for their baleful and malign hate-cult here then they will do it, while simultaneously denying reciprocity in their own countries. I suggest if Muslims wish to worship their faith in mosques-go back to the god-forsaken lands where these primitive faiths are still practised. Surely it is hypocrisy to expect all the benefits of western civilisation without embracing its cultural values too!

We are a more tolerant society than many countries that have an Islamic government. It is illegal to try to proselytise Muslims in an Islamic culture, but allowed that Muslim men court and marry a non-Muslim woman and then ensure her conversion to Islam in the UK.

Yes I agree with Mosques being built in the USA. It is legal because UK like USA is a free country and it can't discriminate against other religions so it has to accomodate other people and religions in their country otherwise every other country will hate the UK like they hate the USA. I'm not really sure about Christains in Pakistan. It depends on how Islamic Pakistan is and their type of government.
