No they shouldn't and won't. All the big brave arm chair warriors like violence so much, why aren't you out fighting in Iraq?

First of all, illegal immigrants can't collect WIC unless their child is a legal citizen of the US, in which case, how can you deny a child with citizenship the care they need to grow and live healthy lives. I bet you are the same people who are pro-life...except when the life is not a US citizen?
How can you write about illegal immigrants as if they are not people, but animals that should be hunted and shot? Even if you believe in the death penalty, it is not for all criminals, just murderers, which I would guess many of these illegal immigrants are not!
Lastly, just because someone does not speak English, does not mean they are stupid, in fact, after reading some of the responses, I would bet that many of them speak Spanish better than many US citizens speak English!
We have thousands of US citizens dying in a war that isn't ours to fight, I would say that your animosity is not being directed towards the right people.

The Governor of Oklahoma recently signed a bill imposing tougher fines on hiring and/or renting to illegal aliens. He commented that, without jobs and housing, illegal aliens would "deport" themselves. That seems possible, practical, and long overdue. AND cheaper. Some of our fellow citizens have created this problem by inducing these foreigners to come here, against our law, and they should be punished, while the illegals need a disincentive for remaining here. It's almost too easy.

To answer this diplomatically We should deport as many as we can. Also I think we can deport most but not all. We will never have zero illegals but we definatly can have an amount that is managable for the USA. The easy way to do this is to allow local authorties to know a persons status in the USA eg legal or illegal. We can probably get 90 percent of illegals this way. I really do not support doing house to house searches for illegals mainly because we will probably not get many and it would be just a waste of time. Do not waste our time chasing them just let them come to us. They always do.

The US could deport the illegals, but actually there is a better easier way. Just enforce the existing laws and start cracking down on the employers who hire illegal immigrants. If they can't get jobs they will go home. Vote for Tom Tancredo if you want this illegal immigration problem solved.

Deportation would take billions of dollars from taxpayers' pockets and the deportees will be right back the next morning lendering all efforts a waste to the drain..

Amnesty is the solution that really solves the problem...

It can be done and it woul dtake a mass joint venture and maybe include the military, and strike from time to time, and cuff and stuff, and deport, and keep hitting it from time to time, and yes it could become expensive, but when you see all the welfare money not being used or picked up, then that cost will make up for the round up in the long run. Lets do it, to it,,,,,,!!!!!!

I think that we should mass deport illegals, but the only problem is, is that our government doesnt seem behind the country with this is. Most of the country is against this new immigration bill, yet our senators and president keep pushing for it to be enacted. I highly doubt that any of the senators have read the entire bill to begin with. If they had, I think more of them would understand why the country feels the way it does. If you haven't read the bill yet I encourage you to do so. You can read it at http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c110:S.1348:

If ICE would do their job, then a significant number of illegals could be deported every year.

If the government would enforce the laws already on the books, a significant number of illegal aliens would return on their own.

If treasonous elected officials would stop promoting amnesty then a significant number of potential illegals would not come to the USA.

Criminalize hiring them.

Replace current employment IDs with ID that's very expensive to forge and easy to verify.

Then set up a bunch of sting businesses with the resources to make good forgeries.

Should we deport illegal aliens, yes. Could this be done, yes. But the will had got to be there to, and as of right now, Washington does not have the will.
