There is nothing wrong with Christianity; the problem lies with those who claim to be Christian. Unfortunately, when Christianity became a dominant religion, many men saw the Church as a way to acquire wealth and power. Once they attained the power, they began to make decisions based on their own council rather than what the Bible said.
And just like in any demographic, the ones that cause the trouble are the ones that define the people. One example of this would be with the African-American community. Just because a small number of them seem to have no regard for the law, the integrity of all African-Americans suffers. The majority respects the law, their neighbors, and their fellow man in general.
You can base your opinions on the actions of a few, or you can base your opinions on the sincerity the majority.

Well, with that logic:
Since atheists have done horrible things, that must mean there's something wrong with atheism.
Because politicians do horrible things, there must be something wrong with ALL politicians.
Since soldiers have been known to do horrible things, there's something wrong with the military.
Some teachers molest their students, so there must be something wrong with teachers.
Some parents abuse their children, so there must be something wrong with parents, too.
Ooh, and what about all the crime and drugs that musicians are involved with? I guess musicians are bad too.
Don't judge all by the actions of a few. Every group is going to have some bad apples.

well when you speak of christianity, your really talking about apostate christianity, True christians do not commit crimes or violence. remember what Jesus told Peter
(Matthew 26:51-52) 51 But, look! one of those with Jesus reached out his hand and drew his sword and struck the slave of the high priest and took off his ear. 52 Then Jesus said to him: “Return your sword to its place, for all those who take the sword will perish by the sword. . .
but it isn't just christendom thats wrong its ALL FALSE RELIGION as described in Rev cha 17, its idenified as a whore, because of its political involvement & bloodshead
(James 4:4) 4 Adulteresses, do YOU not know that the friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever, therefore, wants to be a friend of the world is constituting himself an enemy of God.. . .

There have been many atrocities connected to many religious philosophies. My supposition is because the heads of 99% of the religions in existence are headed by males. Genocide is an efficient way to eliminate competition.

Why does there have to be something wrong with Christianity? Why don't you study the Bible and Christian history and doctrine? Christians can be influenced by evil ways and corruption, just look at Judas. Most of the time it involves compromise.

Well, as Paul clearly stated that there would be many false prophets misleading many. Satan greatest tool, one could say, would be Christianity after the council of Nicea.
