first of all this last thing this gov, wants is a draft, because a full volunteer army is so much easier to control, manipulate, brainwash. so they can be used against the civilian population when and if the need occurs, our forefathers knew this from past experience, a draftee is not as likely to fire on his own people as a professional solider would professional soldiers are a real and present danger to .any country, just look at the other country's who have a volunteer army they are fighting against their own people in many instances, this is what our forefathers wanted to prevent.in fact our constitution forbids the military from acting against civilians, but our supreme court has changed that look at the civil war and the troops sent to Ark, in the 50's to force integration, no there would be no riots as the people here are so brainwashed and cowardly, just look at the way the gov, has did it's people
we are no better off than slaves to our gov they take our hard earned money and give to Israel for instance who has a much higher standard of living than 90% of Americans, they all have at least one maid and in many cases several, how many do you have? I damnd sure don't have one.yet we give them $11billion dollars per year for the so called holocaust fund Germany pays them England also. would this country riot because of a draft ? hell no they are to weak and cowardly.

A draft is necessary and activated would of course not be liked but there be no rioting. Drafts are only even thought about when needed to the extreme for the US. As the only all volunteer military in the WORLD the US would need miss its recruiting and retention goals by tens of thousands before a draft would be allowed, and even then it would be grudgingly accepted because of the need to have a certain number of military able to fight or respond.

We need one. The one way we will win Iraq is a lot of boot's on the ground. The politician's won't accept this. Draftee's have fought excellently in our country's history. I would expect if it was fair, it would be accepted. It would have to be fair. No exception's for any reason on the chance. It would be a great leveling experience for our country. But it would also cost a lot of live's. A National Draft again should include everyone. Including the President's twin daughter's, the VP's daughter, and everyone's son or daughter through senate and congress. If we are to win in Iraq, and that is so important...that is the bottom line. They need to fight and suffer equally with all of us.

I say draft about 300,000 of the kids. Rich or Poor,Male AND Female, no matter what race and no excuses. No running to another country to escape or no college. The youth of this country could use a little reality about life instead of what they see on TV and video games. They are too pampered by their Babyboomer parents and need learn to grow up.I don't think the U.S. can survive another Babyboomer generation.

We will not have a draft in this country unless it's a national emergency. If that is the case and that is what is needed then Americans owe it to this country to serve. No riots and certainly no amnesty for the cowards that run.

I don't care, I think it is ridiculous for the country to fight pointless wars and then complain that not enough people want to fight in the military. Maybe stop the Iraq war, send a lot more to Afghanistan, kill Bin Laden, then bring them all home to fight another day.
