I cant do it. I dont know how to even get the CPU to recognize the device by plugging it in. it came w/ really bad instructions. i need to convert a few of the things also. i know a site but it takes forever you have to do it 1 by 1 file. i have a disc that came w/ the cheap fake ipod. i already chose media monkey over musicmatch or itunes if i absolutely need to use one of them to do it. if you really want to be kind i have asked this question 4 times so far or a version similar you can see them also to get the entire story if you really care to do a good deed, thanks

If you are not knowledgaeable about computers you shouldnt se limewire, it is perhaps the biggest virus distro site on the planet. Distributers know that that program purposely caters to newbies and purposely target people there.

Media money is an excellent program, it should be able to rip, transfer and convert almost anything you can throw at it. but you should start off with just using ripped prerecorded music on your ipod clone. Study, learn as much as you can, then try peer2peer

As far asgetting it to recognize, does it show up in device manager, does it show up someone elses computer? Is there a switch that changes it from a mass storage device to an MP3? You may have to load a cd that has drivers for the device

***EDIT*** Markh, the guy below me may not like the truth, but he cant change the truth. It is apparent he does not work in the industry, I do and am certified nd have a degree

As for the CPU recognizing the device try opening my computer and then right click the drive that the device is plugged into and click on open, the disk probably has the drivers for your computer to recognize the device as well, as for transferring music to the device it depends on whether or not there is a software program for it or not. If not try moving or copy and paste the file directly to the drive the device is on, if there is software for it that you are using there should be an import option on the file drop down menu, I also believe that windows media player has a convert option to convert the files to mp3.

Best of luck.

I use a Creative mp3 player myself, not sure if yours is an Ipod or something else. When you get your song downloaded off of Limewire then go to the limewire library and you will see it there.
What i do is half the screen and drag the song straight into my Music folder . Then you just drag it into your mp3 player folder.
Usually you can go to My computer, find your mp3 player and drag it straight in from there. If you use an Apple then it is a longer process and I wont go there .... but most regualr ones is as simple as drag and drop .
