I'm not trying to be mean!! But I have a girl that works for me that at least once a week is talking about this freakin idiot she dates. She has been dating him for 4 months and comes crying to me at least once a week. He has forgotten her birthday, stood her up at least 4 times. Hit on her girlfriend(and she listened to the phone call) and talks to her in a derogatory manner. I ran his @ss out of the job once for swearing inside my business. OK ladies..how long before she "gets it"

wow people are absolutely harsh telling you to fire someone that comes to you with personal problems. yea its work but no wonder people are so ****** up: NO ONE EVER SEEMS TO CARE. Its a good thing that you do though. but yeah some girls will never learn...and its sad...but...just try and be supporting thats what girls NEED....not these other stupid people saying "oh fire her"....people need to stop being so 'serious' about 'strict work' and have a caring heart for christs sake.

Gosh, i wish i knew... i have been with my bf more than 4 years, he forgets and not cares about my birthday, he speaks to me in a derogatory manner too, he makes me cry at least once a week... i get that he can be a jerk, but he can be great too.
I think we get so absorbed into the whole thing... i think we get it, but we want to believe they'll be nicer, because we know they can be, and stop being jerks so much. Hasn't happened with my bf... if anything, the more time that goes on, the more of a jerk he becomes.
So, enough about me, sorry! to answer your question, it depends on the woman... but it can go on for a very veeery long time until she does something about it, if ever.

Speaking as someone who stayed with a total loser for 6 years, it can take a while. I can't say for her situation, but my ex was extremely manipulative and mentally abusive, which if you've never been abused like that, you can't really understand. We often talked about what I wanted and expected out of a man and a relationship and he told me I was totally unrealistic and silly. I didn't think so, but eventually he had me so beaten down and convinced that he must be right. For years I knew I had to lose him, but he made me feel so horrible every time I tried that I couldn't stick to it. So what did it take? Realizing that our 2 toddler children were going to pay the ultimate price for my fears of leaving their father. I knew I couldn't let them grow up in a household filled with hate and anger and explosive rage. See, girls fall for the mean guys because if a guy is terrible to you 80% if the time, it feels really special when he does make the grand gesture of being halfway decent. The upside is I now found someone who is the opposite. He is so amazing all the time that if he ever was even remotely mean to me I would probably be crushed. He has shown me that I was not silly for the expectations I once held for myself regarding men and relationships. He now makes me repeat his words to me everytime I thank him for being so wonderful. " I deserve it" Never again will I stand for anything less than my ideal. I only hope that every woman standing for less will eventually get it.

I`m not a lady but some never reaize it, I know a woman her daughter has 2 kids by this guy and shes still waiting for him (hes married) waiting 10 years now, feel like saying what the &^%$ is wrong with you but I`m nice to her

In general, they don't. A woman will easly waste years and years of her life with a loser. And there is not much that can be done. Most women will not dump a loser until he does something big...like cheat or hit her. anything less then that, like the stuff you mentioned, she will explain away.

Sometimes never! Some people have no self worth and do not feel they can do any better than this one creep. But, it could only take one more thing to push her to the end....but, it doesn't sound like it will happen any time soon. He will be the one to leave and then she will really cry to you!

eh shes holding onto the statement "maybe he'll really change or maybe he just forgot" we always think theres some good in him and that everyone makes mistakes but then later when the mistakes pile up, they realize that they're not changing and that we are SICK of it. thats where the "finally realizing" comes in. lol

She might not ever realize that he will only get worse. If it has only been a couple of months, and he already treats her like crap then its up to you to tell her how much better she is then that. If she tolerates him treating her badly she probably has low self esteem. Even if it doesn't seam like it. Its up to you if you care!
