i straighten my hair like the other girl said too and i wrap my hair before going to sleep. what you do is Comb all your hair forward and clip it up section-by-section with bobby pins. Make sure not to bend it in any way that goes against the style that you've so toiled for. You want to clip it to the side of your head in a circular pattern so that it looks kind of like a beehive. Pile it up, not to the side. When it's all up, secure it with a silk scarf to keep everything in.

Also it may be puffy becuase it needs more moisture try using a moisturizing shampoo and conditoner. Frizz-Ease Secret Weapon Flawless Finishing Creme which makes my puffy hair really smooth and shiny, use this after straightening your hair

It depends on your ethnicity and your hair length etc. More info is needed to give a really good answer. If you are African American, then I suggest wrapping your hair around your head at night and securing it with a wrap cap. This mainly works for people that wear their hair in straight bobbed styles. If you wear it on the curly side, then use a bonnet.

If you are Caucasian or have similar hair type, then secure with ponytail holder after you have brushed it back.

For either ethnicity, use polishing drops to fight the frizzes when styling and it should help even during sleep. Also change your pillowcase to a satin pillowcase which doesn't dry your hair out or cause damage like cotton pillowcases can.

try wrapping your hair, or putting it in a doobie. part your hair left of center on the left side of your head, comb to the left, bring the ends along and smooth. go over it w/ a brush. you may have to use pins depending on how long your hair is. then put on a scarf and go to sleep. it helps if you put on a bit of whatever you dress your hair with as you wrap to hold it. hair oil (carrot, tea tree) is good for this, and it will add shine. just don't use a lot. also, the key is to prevent bunching while you are combing/brushing your hair, so try to comb/brush in a way that will keep your hair low to your face, but not in your face. it will take some practice, but eventually your hair will get used to it.

take a shower at night, and put it in a low pony tail when you go to sleep... it works like a charm! my hair is like an afro if I take one a shower at night and don't put it in a pony tail.
Steps:
1. Take a shower
2. Comb Hair
3. Put in a pony tail.
4. sleep or you can stay up just keep it in a pony tail .

Based on how comfortable you feel, you may want to try tying your hair with a silk head scarf.
