as a seventh day adventist, I am very curious about other religions. I am very curious about why you worship Sunday instead of Saturday. For instance, we believe in Saturday (Sabbath) because God said to worship it because he rested on that day. I am also intrigued to understand why it is that when you keep the Sunday, you don't keep it the same way Adventists and Jewish do Sabbath. In our day, we usually don't watch TV or go shopping until sundown and try to keep ourselves focused in God - related Subjects.

I am NOT judging you! I am very curious to learn about other religions =) But do not get mad at me, I am only 13!

I'm glad that you love to keep the Sabath day holy. Good for you ! I have a hard time keeping the Sabath day holy, as I often watch tv, surf the net, or go shopping on the Sabath. As far as which day is correct, my suggestion for you is to you is to get down on your knees and ask god if The Seventh Day Adventist church is true. Listen to your heart and how you feel. Good luck in your quest for truth!

Keep in mind that the early Christian "church" consisted of both gentiles and Jews who still followed Jewish customs. So the early church gathered for worship on Sunday, partly to accommodate the Jews who went to temple on the Sabbath. Also, the new church chose Sunday, called the Lord's Day, to honor Christ's resurrection.

Also remember that Jesus himself pointed out that the tradition of the Sabbath wasn't written in stone (so to speak).
The mandate to honor the Sabbath is part of the Old Covenant. Many of those laws are no longer applicable (such as the food laws) because Jesus fulfilled the covenant. Of course, many of the laws are still in place, as to which ones are followed, that's a bit of a controversy among different denominations.

I could be way off here, but personally I don't think it matters what day of the week you worship on or if you eat pork or if you get a tattoo, etc. I think the whole point of JC fulfilling the Old Covenant is that we need to stop sweating the stupid details and focus on the important stuff, like treating your neighbor the way you want to be treated.

You may want to ask your parents why Ellen White's book "The Great Controversy" was sold as a vision that she had, but later was found to be a plagerism of H.L. Hastings' Great Controversy Between God and Man.

Seventh Day Adventism is built on the visions recieved by Ellen White. Much of the doctrine came from her books and visions, unfortunately many of them were copies from other books written by Sunday worshipers.

Yes, God did rest on the 7th day.
Nowadays, men and women work sometimes 6 days a week and they have to do chores on Sunday.
Sunday is recognized but I don't sit around the house twiddling my thumbs because it IS Sunday. I praise God everyday.... Actually, the Sabbath day is on Monday but people have taken it on Sunday because most don't work on Sunday...
Thanx for your question...

Didn`t Jesus tell us that man was not made for the Sabbath but rather the Sabbath was made for man, Jesus did not rise from the dead on the Jewish Sabbath(Saturday) but on the first day of the week(Sunday) and by his resurrection made all things new.

well i am 13 as well ... and these things religion are intresting to me aswell...i myself am a muslim ...no i am not a terrorist hehe (why do pplz think thst its stupid no offence)
and if u wish i can tell u a bit of backround on islam...
there are 5 fundamentals ...belief ...in god and ALL the prophets which includes Moses Jesus Abraham Isaq Adam Noah and Mohammad and more (peace be upon them all)(we are taught to say this as a respect to the prophets ) all the books ..so the Palms of David..the Bible...the Torat or Torah and the Quran and the angels the devil heven hell ...it doesnt differ much from christianity despite the fact that we believe God is one and only and has no partners or equivilant

then there is prayer...which is for the most part simple ..we pray 5 times a day and the idea behind that is never to forget god and not to seperate religion from the rest of your life ...we are taught how to pray by the Quran and the sunnah(the saying of the prophets written down by scholars and preserved over time)

then theres charity (Zakat)
we are obligated as muslims to give charity every ...month i believe u might wnat to look that up i amnot sure .... and it is a certain percentage of the money u have left over after necesities like food clothing shelter ..this i believe is to keep this economically well no one will then starve etc cas everyone gives part of their money that they have left after necesities to the poor

then there is fasting
this is basically when we restrain from eating...but its not just restrain from eating its also restraining ourselves from seeing hearing touching going to bad places bad things etc basically restaining ourselves from alll bad things ..this ofcourse is for self controll and to understand how fortunate we are acording to others

and hajj or pilgrimidge to mecca
many pplz are confused about this...yes it is said it is mandatory but if u cant afford it or u never live up to be able to get there then its not bad...it is said in islam it is teh intention behind the deed... so basically u should go to hajj if u cant for some reason its okay...and it is basically when u go to mecca where teh kabaa is and also where mariam i believe (pbuh) ran back and forth trying to find water for her son .... and the baby kicke dthe ground water came out and we believ it is still there we call it zum zum water ...this pilgrimidge i believ is to give a goal i life...

so yep that is the simple 5 pilars some general info ...
we believe in one god who is all powerful all wise and has no parter and no euivilant
we believ in teh prophets (pbu them all) as people sent to guide humanity to worshiping only one god
we do not worship the prophets (this was thought for quite a while and we were referred to as muhammadins )
we believe in teh miricles of jesus and the stories of noah and adam and abraham ...
the quan is unchanged till this day...yes it seems impossible but check it out your self
yep trhats about it for now i guess

Believing is the only justifiable answer.
It's just my very nature.

Anything else is a lose, lose scenario!

And I worship 24/7

The human heart is a prayer mat.
God is always listening to prayer, don't be deceived by what others might tell you.
When a persons heart is open, every letter and word is written down in the book of life.
Remember God in your heart and ask that wisdom be allowed in, so you can see things as they really are, not what others might want you to believe.

I'm a Sufi............
