my # 1 suggestion for buying a used vehicle has always been a rental that's still got some full Mfg warranty remaining compared to a lease return that's most of the time has an expired warranty.

However my first question is, why is current owner selling after only having ownership a short period of time ?.

I would like for you to read this link on my website http://www.usedcartips.org/TESTDRI.html and if that passes your inspection then make it subject to an independent inspection by a body shop as you want to make that it was just the bumper replaced and there is no frame damage.

If owner wont grant your request, you must walk away from deal, You can phone a body shop in your area and find out charges for an inspection, its an investment that must be performed since rear was replaced.

Same as with any used car, you don`t know how it was treated that 20 thou miles, people usually beat on rentals because they don`t care about it, its not their car

for 14000, spend another $100 and have a mechanic look at the rear-end damage.
