Tommy Davis WAS completely rude, wasn't he? I watched the whole thing too (and I'm sure many Scientologists haven't because they're basically forbidden to view any "negativity" or "criticism").
What really really got me was how Davis barged in on an interview that he was neither notified of or invited to attend... and he barged in for the sole purpose of launching an on-camera smear campaign against the interviewee, calling him a criminal and a pervert, waving papers, slinging mud, basically making a butt out of himself while the other two looked on in amazement.
I seem to recall that Sweeney tried to remind Davis that this was still a BBC documentary and he (Sweeney) would interview anyone he liked.

Hello BraveHeartBear AKA The Outsiders AKA Affinity Warrior I watched the whole Panorama program. And yes, I did watch the smear campaign the cult of Scientology sewed together from various different, often out of context, video clips like some sort of hideous Frankenstein of a documentary. And by the way, some of the clips that they thought would be so helpful to their propaganda weren't actually so bad. They just HOPE you'll see it in a negative light because that's how the whole thing is presented. Also, I think it's VERY convenient for the kind of film they were trying to make that often times you'll see a Scientologists talking to Sweeney, "explaining" something or "discussing" something or even "accusing" something, and then the video will cut out before Sweeney begins to respond, rebut, explain, ANYTHING. It's quite easy to grind a man into the dirt when you take away his ability to defend himself and then make up any old stories you want to about him. One more thing... I see you've given me a thumbs down as you always do. Thanks so much for taking the time to totally disregard reality. Not that it's something new and different for you...

Yes the relationship between Tommy Davis and John Sweeny was retaliatory because Sweeny was making a scripted movie and not a journalistic documentary. And here is the evidence and is not what you have seen in u –tube: http://www.bbcpanorama-exposed.org/watch-the-video-documentary.php
Tommy Davis behavior was more than appropriate due the circumstances. John Sweeny was been more than sleazy, offensive and prejudice.

I agree, I think Tommy Davis was very freaky. It is interesting that these people insist on not having anyone call them a cult, yet if you give any criticism, they engage in cultish behavior.
When Davis shows up to one of the interviews and starts ranting about what crimes the interviewee is guilty of he comes off as if he is a member of the mafia.
They have a terrible, and long history of doing really nasty things to silence critics. They might try to rationalize it by saying, "Well so did the Catholic church". But just because the Catholic church did something wrong doesn't make Scientology more legit.

I watched and I'm scientologist. I was amazed too!
But if I can compare, I work in a financial institution and if reporter would have come bothering us all the time, he would have had his litlle something kicked out by our security officer!
Would it have been interpreted as "having something to hide". Probably!
In my opinion, he tried to do is job a little too far and didn't succeed and so he erupted in a big smash...

Yeah the scientologists as a whole made total prats of themselves. Tommy Davis came across as someone who had totally lost all touch with reason and self-control. I think John Sweeny was a star... I would have found it difficult not to head butt Tommy then spit on him!!! What a weirdo... awww bless lol

Hello amoore84,
Tommy Davis was protecting our organisation from an insane antagonist. Sweeney, whom by his entirely biased reporting, proved this.
As you know Mr Sweeney was offered access to many areas of Scientology's' broad operation, all of which he refused. Excepting the areas he thought he could make up a story about.
He blew up when he was confronted with what he was trying to do himself. He has basically fabricated a story and fed it to society as truth. Let us compare him to Bush or Bin Laden or any person who leads a society into war, conflict, disagreement or any other lack of communication.
How was it that he was allowed to interview within our grounds, simply because he was let in.
It was seemingly known that his purpose was to make false claims, create a biased story and generally lie to you all.
Is there any more you would like to know.
Don't look at the links below unless you are able to read and make your own decision.

I agree totally, why would anyone behave that way whilst trying to make people accept their 'way of life' ? It makes you less likely to accept anything they have to say as they appear not to be capable of having a polite reasonable conversation regarding their veiws and they are so unable to see other peoples opinions as valid.

Seems to me all you are asking for is some agreement with your particular opinion.
Doesn't look to me like you want any real answers to anything at all.
If I'm wrong then what is your actual question??
