What are people's contentions regarding abortion. Personally, I believe that I don't posses the right to intrude into their personal lives, and don't have a moral aversion towards it. Besides, the people applying for and undergoing abortions are the people we probably don't want siring offspring.

Excuse me, flandargo, but your "logic" is sophistry. By murdering a women in a public setting, he is including me and anyone in close proximity. Therefore, indifference foments the murder, which is the antithesis of abortion.
Why don't you learn to reason.

I understand that the subject of the morality of 'abortion' is an emotionally charged one, and discussing this subject should be done with respect for both views.
I, myself, do not agree with abortion on moral grounds. However, in a society that holds itself to be 'free', I do not think that it is possible to legislate those issues of morality whose pro and con arguments are so evenly weighted...
By this logic, and this logic alone, --- I side with the pro-choice camp.

I study a narrative as quickly as with regard to the top cut back of abortion finally coinciding with age of criminal adulthood -- at 14. Makes for many a demanding teen whilst called right down to the workplace. the solid information: a growth in organ donations. Edit: there is likewise Johnathan rapid's "Modest notion" of 1729: "I even have been certain by employing an exceedingly understanding American of my acquaintance in London, that a youthful healthy baby properly nursed is at a 365 days previous a maximum delicious, nourishing, and healthy nutrition, no count if stewed, roasted, baked, or boiled; and that i make little doubt that it's going to the two serve in a fricassee or a ragout."

I think those people seeking abortions have no right to intrude in God's business of whether He wants them to have the child or not. God always has His reasons for wanting the baby to live so people shouldn't be judging His reasons and aborting the baby because they think it won't have a good home.
Also, abortion is murder. That baby is alive from the time of conception. When you have an abortion, you're killing an innocent life.

Well Personally, I do not believe abortion is okay. God creates life, we cannot take that away.
However I don't believe it should be illegal. There will be more problems like people trying tp do it themselves and screwing it up, and there are a lot of people who definatly shouldn't have a baby and would probably have a sick baby so it wouldnt live a descent life.
it is confusing, but no I do not like the idea of abortions

"Personally, I believe that I don't posses the right to intrude into their personal lives..."
O.K. You are six feet tall, 100 kg (222 lb), and physically fit because you have been doing three 2-hr sessions per week resistance and cardio workout for the last 5 years. You are 29 years old.
You are walking down the street and see another man (5' 9", 200 lb, overweight, age about 45 years) with a knife in his hand about to murder a girl (say 4' 11", 110 lb, age about 17 years). You walk by and leave him to murder her because "personally, you believe that you don't posses the right to intrude into their personal lives".
Way to go !!!
Edit: Just read "BitterSweetDrama" answer above. "EVERY WOMAN deserves the RIGHT to CHOOSE what happens to her body. Period. " So prostitution is acceptable? And suicide? And abortion well into the third trimester? No, it certainly is not the end of the discussion. Just who gave you the right to tell everybody to "shut up!"?

siring??
um, last time i checked, it was women who were "applying for and undergoing abortions"
abortion should never be used as a form of "birth control". abortion stops a life. each woman should have the ultimate power of choice over her own body.

I am pro-choice. Some people have abortions for the wrong reasons, and they use it as a method of birth control. While I do not agree with that, it is honestly none of my business. As you said, what people do with their personal lives should not be any of my business.

There's nothing morally wrong about killing a foetus. I know that some people have emotional objections, and that's perfectly understandable. It's certainly not a pleasant concept, and if someone isn't comfortable with the idea then they're more than welcome not to have one. But you can't go around imposing your subjective views on other people.

There are many reasons for a woman to have an abortion - I for one am pro abortion and it is up to the individual - I am against using abortion as a means of contraceptive though.

How dare you assume you can judge the character of a woman who decides to terminate her pregnancy. You people infuriate me.
