I want to leave my friend a message and I want to say it to him in German. I want to say "Hey rockstar, just thought I'd say hello, talk to you soon"

It´s like that: "Hey Rockstar, ich wollte nur mal kurz hallo sagen. Wir unterhalten uns dann später."

I´m a German

Edit: (Oh, you guys are so funny!^^ I don´t know how someone can write "gerechter gedanke" for "just thought" :o)
I think this translation-progamms cannot know if a word is a verb or a noun.)

Maybe you´re right, You could also say "sprechen" instead of "unterhalten".

Hey Rockstar! Ich wollte nur mal hallo sagen.
Wir unterhalten und später (sounds a bit formal)
Wir sprechen uns später (I think it sounds better)

I'm thinking Graue Eminenz has it, but "unterhalten" looks formal to me. Maybe switch her last part for just "bis später" (until later).
