Let's say you received a revelation that, yes, Yahveh, God of the Bible, is our Lord and Creator and the Bible is His literal Word. No doubt possible, it's all true and you somehow got convinced of it.

What do you do?

Do you accept Jesus as your Saviour, to get eternal life and avoid the pit of hell?

Or do you refuse to bow down to the evil dictator out of solidarity for the human race which He is oppressing through slavery and eternal torture?

If you're going to answer that the Bible isn't true or that it's full of mistakes, go away. That isn't the question.

I want to know whether you think human beings should worship such a God (if he existed).

Hell no. I'd do everything I could to destroy him, such evil *must* be opposed on moral grounds.

properly, a pair issues. a million) end opposing the Church. this is no longer appropriate "to sell your daughter into intercourse slavery ". The Bible is the Bible because of the fact the Church says so. 2) The Bible isn't a hundred% actually something. It has many genres. tell me this, Why did the two Jesus and Paul no longer turn the different cheek whilst struck ???? Why exchange into Origen condemned for slicing off a physique section that indignant. And maximum of all why exchange into St Augustine's fashionable scripture : The observe kills , however the Spirit supplies existence !! 3) cutting-factor liberal society isn't what you think of it somewhat is. study Newman against the Liberals (25 classic Sermons) by employing John Henry Newman. Then do the blowhard element. Oh yeah, only curious, is 'impressive Contributor' for high quality or for quantity. only curious.

On the hypothesis, accept.
Denial of reality is not what I'm into.
(and I'm already familiar with reality not being what I'd like it to be!)

Which is why I've spent so much time working on the question of what is real in the area or religion and spirituality.

Oh, and if I was convinced 100% it was true, I'd have to spend the rest of my life communicating that to other people.
I'm actually more surprised by the Christians who don't, than offended by the ones who try to. The latter's error is just that of technique, as a rule, not one of philosophy.

Assumption is such a silly word.
One should never assume anything.
All things are possible.
Dissect the question or thought at hand, with "Wisdom",
and allow the "Wisdom", within you to make the appropriate
conclusion.

Without "Wisdom", a person is swimming in an ocean of illusion.

I'd say the same thing Homer Simpson said when he met the enlightened CEO of the Kwiki Mart.

CEO: You may ask three questions.
Apu: Good because we only need to ask one.
Homer (interrupting): Are you really the head of the kwiki mart?
CEO: yes.
Homer: Really?
CEO: Yes
Homer: You?
CEO: Yes. I hope this has been enlightening.

(afterwards Apu is very angry).
Homer: Was that really the head of the Kwiki mart?

Bad assumption!!!

The division presently in many USA denominations comes from deviations between scriptures and the Holy Bible.
There are a few; the definition of old testament is one of them. The scriptural old testament is the law of Moses; the added definition is Genesis-Malachi. Simple test; Can one have the law of Moses before Moses was born (Exodus 2)?

I'm with Acid Zebra. I'd immediately start looking for ways to assassinate the insane genocidal sadistic tyrant.

If I couldn't figure out how to get to the Man, I'd murder priests and burn churches -- anything to fight for human freedom. Even personal eternal damnation isn't too great a price for the freedom of the entire human species.

In 2Peter1:20,21 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

The Bible is 100% true....are you going to let your ego and your pride keep you from going to Heavin? Are you going to let your stupid pride and ego send you to eternal torment in Hell?

The Bible says that one day EVERY knee will bow down to the Living God of the Bible. One day every creature will finally realize who He is only for many it will be too late by the time they realize it.
