Don't know why you quoted Luke 10, however, Christians should be disciples ....not just followers.
Followers gives the idea of blindly accepting.
Not good.
Disciple, coming from the word 'discipline', involves learning and progressing.

Disciples are students. This is where the word discipline comes from. God disciplines His children. Or God teaches His Children.

Christians are born of God, the are more than just followeres. Followers don't always confess Jesus Christ Lord. Judas was a follower & turned Jesus in for $.

The better term is disciple because the root of disciple is "discipline."

If a Christian is to be a disciple at all, he or she must submit to the discipline of Christ to follow Him and do His will.
