oh poor thing. My friend had pink eye. Main thing you can not use any of the cosmetics (brushes, eye shadow etc) you used before because it's so contagious (kinda like poison oak). I think she got an oinment too from a doctor but you may want to search online for some herbal pink eye remedies or other cures.

Pink eye... is a type of conjunctivitis caused by an adenovirus. The viruses are numbered...adenovirus 5 or 20 or so...but whatever it's name, the infection is very contageous, but it's also self limiting and usually resolves in about 2 weeks or so. Antibiotics work with bacteria, antivirals work with viruses, so antibiotics won't work for you. Usually the medications Rx'd for pink eye are used to aleviate symptoms...pain, discomfort, etc. Sometimes the virus not only affects the conjunctiva (the membrane covering the white part of the eye) but will affect the cornea (clear part). If so, you'd feel like something is in your eye such as a piece of lint or debris of some type. There has been some use of topical steoids for very, very symptomatic or uncomfortable patients with this problem, but that can lead to becoming dependent on them for symptomatic relief and the little infiltrates seen by the eye doctor may persist longer with their use. Artficial tears, over the counter medications or drops such as nafcon-A or Vasocon-A help with allergy symptoms, but they sting. They won't help an adenoviral pinkeye infection. Whether or not you go to an ophthalmologist this'll take around two weeks to go away. The answers regarding it's being really really contageous are true. Hand washing is the main way to limit the spread. Those tears are full of virus. You need to use your own towel or not let anyone else use your's. Throw the tissue away after you wipe off the tearing.
If you place your finger just in front of your ear on the affected side, you might find a node, a bump which may be a bit tender. Don't confuse the jaw joint bump. This one is just under the skin and won't move when you open and close your mouth (the joint will). It's called a Preauricular node. If you have one, you have an adenoviral infection...pink eye. Don't go to school, or work till it's over. You could spread this to the whole class or workplace...But you'll probably need a note from the doctor, so...

Firstly, check out pink eye on wiki or google it. You didn't get it from zombie make-up. It's likely you may have an infection other then pink eye. You need to see a doctor asap. Moreover, if it truly is pink eye, the only way to be rid of it quickly is to take the medication prescribed by your GP. Good luck.

If it is indeed pinkeye, you should see your eye doctor for antibiotic drops. Until then, continue to wash your hands frequently and throw out all of your eye makeup as suggested. You are highly contagious when you have the infection, and there is a chance it can spread to other parts of your eye.

keeping it clean, washing everything in contact with your eye, keep washing your hands, and they also say garlic is a strong natural anti-biotic. (Don't put it on your eye, but having a few slices, or crushed with your meal....
A doctor does have to prescribe the eyedrops. my granny had a solution of about a tsp. salt, a cup of hot water...if it's too salty 4ya, try less salt...
it's very common in my house...2 kids, that are always outdoors, catching colds, catchin it from other kids...
good luck!!, if the cleasing with the solution and cool compresses do not clear it up within a day or two...u have to get the antibiotics...remember keep washin those hands!!!wash! wsh!wash !! everything...:-)

not too sure about that, sweety, when my sister had pink eye, she had to go to her dr., and he gave her a 'script for some eye drops, that nobody else could use, cause she would accidentally touch her eye or eye-lid, and if someone else used it, they would get it too! do you have pink eye, baby? maybe look it up online, see what it says?
