Mary, Mother of Jesus Christ, was a virgin when Jesus was immaculately conceived & born in this world, but she did NOT remain a virgin. She and her husband Joseph conceived & birthed eight children after Jesus. Mary died. She did not and was not resurrected.

Mary, a teenage virgin and unmarried, but engaged to Joseph, was chosen by God to bear his son Jesus Christ.

Mary WAS innocent, mortal...human, but she was not and never claimed, nor did Jesus or anyone who knew her attest to her being a divine immortal.

Since Satan is called The Father of Deception and Lies and Illusions, I believe Satan would/has used anything and anyone to take peoples focus/belief/trust off of Jesus and to instead encourage and enjoy when humanity "bought into the lie" & chose to elevate, worship, & pray to mortal human beings that Jesus knew and loved when he walked on Earth, as if they were on par or equal to Him.

I think the St. Mary of Guadalupe phenomenon in Mexico is just another example of Satan's deceptions and cruelties.

May I ask you, how do we know this "apparition" was Mary? Did anyone ever paint a picture of Mary? We know that they did not have cameras back then, so how do we know this is actually Mary if is at all?

And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book." This is found in Revelation 22:18, 19-the last book of the Bible. God tells us here that if anyone adds to His word (Bible) or takes away from His word (Bible) they are under God's wrath.

God tells us this for a purpose--so that we would not be deceived (tricked) into believing preachers, teachers, apparitions, etc. that "add" to God's words. In 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 we read, "For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works."

Do you understand that God is telling us that satan can appear as an angel of light ie., Mary? Satan is liar and the father of lies. He wants to deceive people. This is why you should be reading the Bible and praying to God (not Mary) to give you wisdom and to have mercy on you.

OK, I know this has nothing to do with the question BUT I have noticed something consitently across the board in the subject area of Religion and Spirituality. The Christians, the Muslims AND the Judaists ALL use their Holy Books as BATTERING rams on each other. Not just Christian against jew or Muslims but ALSO on EACH other, Christian on Christian. You'll take three or four sentences out of the entire book, take it out of the context of the story in which the quotation is written and USE that TINY quote to belittle, insult, attack and marginalize others. The person who asked this question wanted some genuine information and yet, SOME of you have grabbed your Bible, picked out a passage that supported YOUR misogynistic viewpoint and attacked her for being "dumb enough" to ask a simple question of faith. Let me ask you this... is LOVE, courtesy, gentleness, tolerance and acceptance only an OPTION in your Faiths? Are these things ONLY for the weak, the defensless, and the gentle people of your Faiths and the REST of you have the OPTION of using what you CLAIM to be GOD'S word as a weapon of hatred, meanness, and malevolence? Do your Holy Books exist to be used as weapons to browbeat one another into compliance with what a FEW of you percieve as the ONLY way conduct your lives? When did THIS kind of behavior become acceptable in your Religions? You are ALL losing membership to OTHER religions who simply do NOT do this and are getting upset at the other religions because they ARE gaining the people that YOU, yourselves are driving away by the thousands.
