Also, pro -choice is kind of an oxymoron. the person most affected dosn't have a choice at all.

For an argument out side of the Bible, the heart is beating and the child's own blood is flowing inside of it by three weeks. Anyways even at conception the work begins to make a big healthy child.

I think it is true that the sperm and egg are alive but they are not a new person yet, just life from the parents.

Life begins with conception. A thought in God's Mind turns into reality at the exact moment of conception. To thwart God's Will at any moment from conception to natural death constitutes murder.

In Mother Teresa's words , when ' the mother's womb becomes a tomb' what is left of humanity? This is worse than even war between countries or any other evil that roams the earth.

Doesn't quality of life mean anything to people? I am pro - choice to keep abortion safe and legal. I feel we should support people in their choices not put them down for them. It is so great you may be pro life but what about the women that where losing their lives getting abortions back when abortions where illegal? You care so much about children why not worry about the ones that are already here and suffering abruses unimaginable, what about the the women crapping out kids like no tomorrow and not taking care of the ones already here, What about the mother's with mental issues killing their children, What about the over crowded foster homes and adoption agencies, come up with an answer for all of those problems before you go judging another one? Cause let's face it without abortion those problems will only be getting bigger.

Hmmmm! Don't have an answer do you or quality of life means nothing too you? Can't digest flip sides can't make it turn into a package with a pretty bow huh?

Life exists prior to conception in reality. Think about it. Sperm and eggs are living cells. They join which creates a new human. But there isn't a new spark of life that takes place. The cells are already alive.

When people argue that abortion is wrong because it is killing life, they neglect to account for the fact that life just exists. If abortion is killing life, so is masterbation, or the end of the menstral cycle, when an egg isn't furtilized.

You say that at conception, the work begins to create a big healthy child. As the father of a son who was born unhealthy, I can tell you that you are very wrong. There are millions of children concieved and born with defects every year.

The problem with the prolife vs prochoice argument is that religious people assume that God is in control of creating babies, so we as humans don't have the right to mess with the process. The same argument is made for contraception.

They ignore all the malformed babies that are born every year and make statements like "big healthy babies."

You know Jesus talked about the `Lukewarm` and said pretty damning words about them,`I will vomit you from My mouth as you are neither hot or cold` this I think also applies to pro-choicer`s who profess to be Christians, pro choice is the same as sitting on the fence and is cowardly.
Life begins indeed at conception why? because God gazes in loving tenderness at the new life being formed and sends an immortal soul into that new life.
Abortion is intrinsically evil and there is only one choice, allow life to grow and be born, peopl love to say that it is a Womans choice, choice to do what? murder the most innocent life on the planet? freedom of choice does not mean freedom to do anything but the freedom to do what is right in the eyes of God.
One last point, the soul is etheral and therefore not subject to space so that at the very moment that the sperm and egg meet it can already be there.

I think that you pro-lifers aught to give everyone the choice to choose the life an unwanted mouth to feed or a life for themselves if that is what they want. You kill newly conceived lives within your body all of the time and those killings go unpunished. Or don't you believe that germs, viruses, & parasites have the same rights as unwanted children?

I think that anyone that feels that they have the right to dictate how someone lives the next 20 years of their life should stand up and state that they are willing to give up the next 20 years of their own life & all of the money that that life will need to survive as long as the woman will bare the child. And for that matter instead of an abortion I'm sure that the doctors could simply transplant the embryo from the unwanted womb into your womb. There we are problem solved.

Not conception at all. If there was no life when the sperm and ova were a millimeter from each other, then how can there be life a tiny fraction of a second later ?
Life begins the instant a live sperm is produced in the male, and the instant a live ova is produced by the female.

It does not matter what my opinions are or what yours are. Only the vessel's opinions matter. If a woman does not wish to have a child, so be it. If she wishes to have the child no matter what the risks to herself are, so be it. I have no right to interfere with another's life, and nor do you. If you are truly a Christian, Muslim, Jew, Hindu, Buddhist, etc., then you cannot interfere with another's choices. You can attempt to persuade them to take a different coarse of action, but it you do so by force or law, you have failed your own belief system. If you believe in a god that is all-knowing and all-powerful or in any higher power with a purpose, then you violate the will of that being for your own selfish gains. After all, isn't it the Christian who always proclaims "it is the will of god" when tragedy strikes? How is this different?

I am pro-choice. I only reserve pro-abortion for some people, always in the retroactive mode.

IMO. life begins when it can sustain itself sufficiently outside the womb.

This is really hard... If a man threatens to murder your friend would you ignore him or call the police? You would call the police of course. Even though the man doesn’t have the gun in his hand doesn’t mean that he’s not a threat. Likewise, even though the baby is not FULLY formed, that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have a soul, he doesn’t have feelings, or any other such thing. Life starts at conception.

Why do you stop at conception? Before the zygote there was a live sperm cell and live egg cell, why aren't they considered life?
