For the record, I have written my Congresswoman and Senator on numerous occasions. Christians like yourself are still part of the problem since you don't care to fight for our rights as well. As long as you and yours continue to sit silently and allow lawmakers to violate the principles on which this country was founded, you are just as culpable.
And before any Christian makes the completely false statement that this country was founded on Christian principles, I shall leave you with this factual account:
"As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion..." - Opening statement of Article XI of The Treaty of Tripoli, approved by President John Adams and ratified unanimously by the Senate in 1797.
