I am studying for a 208 multiple test Earth Science exam that is this Monday. I am looking at multiple tests which have multiple choice answers and I am trying to learn by reviewing all these questions. What is the average difficultiy level that you teachers make your tests at?? What are some test taking tips. I dont do good on multiple choice answers. Any suggestions??

Here's some suggestions and things to look for when you are taking multiple choice tests

Read each question carefully before answering it. Misreading even one word can lead to a wrong answer

Narrow your choices down .Most multiple choice questions have at least one answer out of the four choices that can be immediately discarded. Usually two of the four answers are a toss up for being the correct answer. But if you've studied the material well, it will be easier to chose the correct response.

Answers that include the words "always" or "never" are usually wrong (but not all the time, again read the question carefully!)

Watch out for questions that read like this "All of the following signed the Declaration of Independence except...(if you don't catch the word "except) you very well might miss the question.

Some questions might include choices like this: All of the above, None of the above, a&b, etc.

Take a reasonable amount of time on each question but don't dwell too long on a question you don't know. Skip it and if you have time. come back to it. Answer the questions you're sure you know the answers to first.

Don't be implusive while answering the questions, Again, I'll repeat, read the questions carefully withoiut taking too much time.

Use your common sense; eliminate the choices that don't seem logical.

Hope this helps.
