Jesus didn't agree with the Talmud; are they saying that Christianity is a cult as well? What about Abraham, who is rightly admired for his pioneering spirit in the face of polytheism? [He may or may not be a historical character, but the point still stands.
When will people realise that 'orthdoxy' is just a cunning way of controlling people, and a perversion of the true spirit of religion?

Technically, all religions are cults. The term "cult" is a Latin term that is basically neutral, and simply describes a group of religious believers (in anything). In this sense, all religious groups, large and small, are cults. Only in fairly modern times has it taken on a negative connotation. The term has become a theological nuisance that only promotes strife, division, and one-upsmanship.

Oye, numb nuts, the Talmud was written well after Jesus.

And yes all a cult is is a quickly growing religion in the place of another religion. When it started, Christianity was a cult. Islam was a cult. Judaism was a cult. Through the years that cult becomes an organized religion or it fails and disappears.
