No time limit. I just want to do it. Should i set a time goal to do it in? Would that help?

Any tips?

How do you cut down on carbs and sugars when you live in a house full of people that still eat that?

Get your own food. Go and buy healthy food just for you. That can be your stash. When they are eating that stuff, leave, go upstairs or something so It won't tempt you to eat it. Remember if they food isn't right in front of you, you don't have to eat it!

There is no question how you can lose weight. It is only either you want it or not! If you do... Then just do it! You probably already know everything about weight loss. Our logical mind knows what is necessary to do to lose weight. It was never question how, it's always when?

I say... Now!

Start now. You said you have no time limit. So I'm guessing you can always say: "I'll do it tomorrow." It's hard to motivate yourself if you don't have a good reason and strong determination to lose weight... It's a psychological game most people lose.

Rare individuals suffer from diseases and distorted metabolism that really cause them to be over weighted and it's very hard for them to lose weight...

But for everyone else it is actually very easy to lose weight. Once you are determined and put some effort into it EVERY DAY, you will see great results...

20-30lbs isn't much. It is normal to lose 2-3 lbs per week when you do it natural and healthy way.

You need daily workout routine. Best time is morning, before the breakfast. You must eat healthy breakfast and eat a lot in the morning, after your workout.

Best workout is cardio, for at least 40-50 min. It can be either walking, jogging, whatever you like. It's just important that you do it daily.

Also drink lots of clear water.

You shouldn't worry about carbs and sugars. Once you develop your daily routine, your body even needs them to function normally.

I also heartily recommend these great weight loss pills, they're called Yerba Slim, you can find them here:
http://www.easynaturalyou.com/yerbaslim.html

They work on thermogenic formula. Which basically means that they naturally assist your body to burn more calories every day, even if you don't change the diet or do the workouts...

But I still do recommend you to do the workouts and eat more healthy food. Workout is not only good for losing weight but also for mental health, increasing immune system and much much more. You feel awesome after you establish daily workout routine and only that is worth it. Not to mention your brain produce more hormones that eventually help losing weight. This is a complicated process, but what's important is that ... it's very important. Heh, my English isn't good today, sorry for that :=)

Hope I was able to help you... Take care my dear!

Sure u can avoid those honey. I live in a house that all you can see are carbs and sugars cos of my skinny sisters. I'm the only one who gets away from those cos I want to look better the way I look now. I stay away from sugar for a month and the time that I wanna try again , my taste buds feels it's just too sweet. So there, one point forward. To lost that amount of weight, do some exercise. A good start is run up and down your stairs at home followed by a simple work out. If you dance...do some vigorous dancing anytime you're free. Make it a habbit so it will be fun. Eat lots of veggies and fresh fruits and drink only water. No sodas and dont forget that glass of milk. Just avoid those carbs and sweets and you'll see the difference in few days after you start exercising.

So you're almost 14 huh. That means your body is still growing and you're goin to get taller. You don't need to lose 20-30lbs. All you have to do is watch what you eat and exercise. No late night snacking and careful eating fast food. Im 21,5'1, I weigh 124 lbs and Im in the marine corp lol. You'll be amazed by what eating right and exercise will do for you.

find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

you SHOULD set a time goal because that will motivating you to get it done. if you don't you'll just think you have more time, it doesnt matter. talk to the other people in your house and put all high sugar and carb foods in a drawer you rarely use

Eat healthy - good protein, plenty of calories and protein for when you exercise. Eat meat as a side dish.

Exercise a lot, get a physical hobby (like tennis) and work on it.

Stay true to it, and before you know it, you will be fit.

Eat regular, balanced meals, with lots of fruit and vegetables.
Also try and exercise regularly.
If you think it would help, there are clubs like Weight Watchers that you could join.
