it is cold = hace frÃo (when not talking about weather but something that is cold you say "está/es frÃo/a" = "El hielo es frÃo" - "La sopa está frÃa"
it is hot = hace calor (when not talking about weather but something that is hot, you must say "está/es caliente" : "El sol es caliente" - "la ensalada está caliente".
it is raining = está lloviendo (more commonly said in spoken language)- llueve
it is snowing = está nevando (also, more commonly said) - nieva.
It's hailing = está granizando - cae granizo
It's cloudy = está nublado
Other words:
drizzle = llovizna
fog = niebla (to fog = empañ****)
haze = bruma - neblina
blizzard = ventisca
storm = tempestad - tormenta
thunderstorm = tormenta eléctrica.
