Wait until your child is older. Even if they can go on the rides with you, most likely a merry go round is about all, they won't remember it. Go when you don't have to have a stoller and worry about missing naps times and stuff like that. A pool would be much more fun for the baby at this age. Good luck.

I live right near Hershey park. They do have rides for small children, but honestly it is a terrible place to bring a baby. The price to get in is $49.95 (if you get tickets at Giant it is $34.95) plus parking, plus a single bottle of water is like $2.75 there.

Do you really want to spend all that money just so you can ride the elephants?

There is a zoo at hersheypark (zoo america) free with admission or you can just buy tickets for that (much cheaper). Chocolate world is a ride that takes you on a tour about how to make chocolate and it is free, it is air conditioned and you get a candy bar at the end.

I usually wait until kids are like 3 or older to really enjoy themselves. If you like rides and you are going with someone else and can pass off the baby, hershey might be ok. They have a new water park (actually it is the largest pool with play yard for kids). That might be a good thing to do- bring sunscreen, there are lockers.

If you live in PA, places like local fair (especially the york fair) have a lot of rides for little kids- york fair is in september (10th-19th I think).

Try Sesame Place. Its in Langhorne Pa right outside of Phila. They have parades and shows. Children under 2 are free. Go to
www.sesameplace.com for info. They have a June schedule...story time etc..They have a number on the site. You should be able to call and find out what specifically would be well suited for your 9 month old.

Most rides, even kids rides, aren't meant for a child that young. Your baby's bones aren't done yet and until they are, I would keep her to rides in her stroller! A merry go round with carriages as well as horses (so you can sit and hold her firmly on your lap) might be fun. Anything that goes faster than that, side to side or up and down would be more action than is good for an infant, even when being held on a parent's lap.

Dutch Wonderland in Lancaster...they hace some really good rides for younger kids, and a nice little splash zone...I took my kids there all the time.....Knobels Grove, thats in Elysburg....its a free admission park, and you pay as you ride...they have some really great rides for kids that age. And its a nice place to go and let kids look around, its kinda in the woods.....they have a big swimming pool and a great food court...and the prices are just great.

i'm guessing it is likewise your first baby. till you're making plans a visit of no extra suitable than an hour or 2, you need to take a stroller and a blanket for them to nap on. the extra stimulation and interest will placed on them out a lot faster than only fooling around the homestead. i might recommend which you no longer anticipate an all-day trip the 1st time. you may try for a nil.5-day, yet word which you will ought to cut back it short. in any different case, counting on how warm that's the place you're, %. a lot of fluids, sunscreen, and a hat.

go to the beach with a lot of sunscreen. i wouldn't take a 9 mth old to an amusement park (just me). call the park and ask if they have rides for that young.

Depending on where you live in PA, KNOEBELS is the BEST place. It's shaded. Flat. Great for strollers, and you only have to buy tickets as you ride.

Hershey is VERY expensive for a day/weekend trip.
Lots of hills.

I'm with Jersey Girl - amusement parks are no place for babies. Beaches, shady parks, zoos are all better places to go. My daughter loved strolling thru our local summer markets when she was small.
