What was in Heaven at that time --- do the Catholics have the statues to represent what is in Heaven now. This includes all the Saints and the Blessed Mother. Can you see this logic now? When we pray to the people these statues represent we are not addressing the statues but who they represent and because they are members of the Body of Christ --- we are praying to Christ. If they are not the body of Christ then there is not a Christian Faith at all worth anything because it is Christ who rose from the grave and no one else. Will you continue to tell us they are in a grave somewhere but your relatives are of course in Heaven?

You will do much more than this Jesus said. What do you think? He was lieing? He said he would be lieing if he did not tell the truth and that is exactly what I am doing.

Yes it represented the higher angels that worship God continuously-as manifested in Jesus-it told the world to honor God and depart from sin-but most refused and got washed for it.
this is what I learned as a Jew from Catholic Charismatic=and is the same as other bible believers teach too=as promised Jesus is God and gives good peace & gives good advice = Isaiah 9:6
"Unto us a child will be born, a son given and he will be almighty God, the wonderful counselor, and the prince of peace.
this is what helped me to prepare for life and my future, and it works=Romans 1 tells it comes from unthankfulness and worshiping the created instead of the creator. But redemption/salvation to be new in heart with new thoughts is available=
in Jesus amazing grace that saved me=John 3 repented of sins and got born again
He said to us "I love you and knock on your heart door, if you repent and turn quickly to me, I will come into your heart door and be your friend, and you mine if you ask me in. Revelation 3:19&20
so I prayed and it workedHe is my Messiah now savior and best friend= "Jesus come into my heart, I am sorry for my sins (even one lie) help be do better and be my friend, amen.

We are not to worship a statue, we are to worship Christ in Spirit and truth.
