I don't think that people are using the bible to justify prejudices towards homosexuality.

I think most Christians used the bible to teach about righteousness and what God expects of His creation towards Him.

Wicked mankind misuses the Bible for its ultimate gain of greed, hate, and power. Thus, slavery and segregation thrived. Many Christians were against this.

Most Christians do not go around hating or hurting anyone and treats everyone with respect due them. If you ask them a question about morals, they will answer it per the Bible because we live according to the Word of God.

Many worldly people call this hate and prejudice. I think they know better.

The Bible has to be interpreted in the context of Holy Oral Apostolic Tradition(from which the New Testament came) and Natural Law(Reason). The Old Testament text and letter approves of slavery and the letter and text of the NT tells slaves to accept slavery. Without the Tradition slavery and genocide and all sorts of evils can be tolerated and even urged by the "Bible Alone".
Homoerotic activity, however, is against the letter and text of both the OT and NT, the constant teaching from Oral Tradition and the Church and Natural Law( unitive, procreative and social foundations of marriage)

Yep, the Bible has been used to justify just about everything good and bad, slavery included. Read some old southern civil war propaganda, it's full of attempts at justification of slavery.

Without a doubt.
Especially since, being written only by men who didn't have a problem with slavery and segregation... the bible unquestionably does not have a problem with slavery and segregation.
