Think of every pain you’ve ever had in your life. Think of all the missed joy, the missed love that you never got. Think of every confusion and uncertainty that plagued you with fear.

Do you realize that everything we missed here will be given to us in heaven? Do you realize that all the love and happiness that slipped away will be yours, forever? Do you realize it will be given in such abundance that we do not have the ability to comprehend it?

THIS is how much God loves us. THIS is what He wants to give us.

On a personal side, I came to realize this after a huge heartbreak of my own. I’ve grown up with rejection my whole life from my grandparents, aunts and uncles because of religious differences. They are Jehovah’s Witness; I am Catholic. They believe Catholics are of the devil, and therefore shun me and my family. I’ve tried many times to bridge the gap, but to no avail.

God blessed me one Sunday during the Feast of the Ascension of our Lord. During the Mass, the father gave a homily about heaven. He told us how this life, with all its pain and heartache, will not last long. He told us how Jesus’ ascension shows us the promise of all the joy we’ve ever wanted.

I realized the love I never got from them will finally be mine when I go to Jesus. I cried for days.

I just wanted to share this. All comments are welcome. God bless all of you, and take care.

For your information, I was never a baptized Witness. Therefore, I was never disfellowshipped or disassociated in any way. My comments about the Watch Tower are based on historical research and analysis of JW beliefs. The teachings of the JW's are unscriptural and apostate. Their founder, Charles Taze Russell, was heavily influenced by the Seventh Day Adventists and Egyptology. The Watch Tower is a cult. I make these comments based on my own personal experiences substantiated by meticulous research. I know what I'm talking about.

You reminded me of the words of St. Augustine: "You have made us for Yourself, O Lord, and our hearts will always be restless until they rest in You." How right he was!

You are either in hell or in heaven NOW. Heaven is not an after death experience, but an after (this miserable) life experience. They tormented you - you were in hell. You had an epiphany about unconditional love - now you're in heaven. God is not a daddy in the sky promising you paradise. These are powerful states of mind that have tremendous consequences in the here and now. Your experience of reality mirrors consciousness. You literally live by faith. What you believe happens or at the least you misperceive that it is happening.

Let me ask you a few questions...

In heaven, do we have to put up with a bunch of people trying to convince us that there is an even better place to go if we just believe how they want and do what they say?

In heaven, do we have to put up with people placing statements in a questions and answers website and then expecting people to answer when there was not a question asked?

In heaven, will God stand around all day telling us how much he loves us and trying to convince us that he always will as long as we follow the dogma of the First Church of Heaven?

Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe that "Catholics are of the Devil".

Elsewhere, this so-called "questioner" has described himself as a disfellowshipped former Witness. Jehovah's Witnesses practice the Scriptural practice of disfellowshipping for unrepentance of such serious sins as fornication, drug abuse, stealing, and apostasy. Baptized Witnesses who join the military or publicly engage in worship with another religion are considered to have disassociated themselves from Jehovah's Witnesses.

Contrary to the misinformation of anti-Witnesses, it is quite possible to become inactive in the JW religion without becoming disfellowshipped. As long as one's lifestyle does not bring reproach upon the congregation, and as long as one does not advocate one's disagreements with the religion, the congregation has no interest in "investigating", exposing, and disfellowshipping an inactive former Jehovah's Witness.

For those who are disfellowshipped or disassociated, a primary goal is to shock the person into recognizing the serious of their wrong so that they rejoin the congregation in pure worship. Since the primary bonds that are broken involve friendship and spiritual fellowship, it is well understood that family bonds remain intact. Parents, siblings, and grown children of disfellowshipped and disassociated ones sometimes choose to limit what they may feel is discouraging or "bad association" but that is a personal decision and is not required by their religion.

Former Witnesses who are disfellowshipped or disassociated are typically treated in accord with the Scriptural pattern explained in these Scriptures:

(1 Corinthians 5:11-13) Quit mixing in company with anyone called a brother that is a fornicator or a greedy person or an idolater or a reviler or a drunkard or an extortioner, not even eating with such a man. ...Remove the wicked man from among yourselves.

(Titus 3:10) As for a man that promotes a sect, reject him after a first and a second admonition

(Romans 16:17) Now I exhort you, brothers, to keep your eye on those who cause divisions and occasions for stumbling contrary to the teaching that you have learned, and avoid them.

(2 Thessalonians 3:6) Now we are giving you orders, brothers, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, to withdraw from every brother walking disorderly and not according to the tradition you received from us.

(2 Thessalonians 3:14) But if anyone is not obedient to our word through this letter, keep this one marked, stop associating with him, that he may become ashamed.

(2 John 10) If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, never receive him into your homes or say a greeting to him.

(Matthew 18:17) If he does not listen to them, speak to the congregation. If he does not listen even to the congregation, let him be to you just as a man of the nations

Becoming baptized as a Jehovah's Witnesses is not a trivial step. At a minimum, a student must demonstrate months of regular meeting attendance and public ministry, then must himself express the desire to be baptized. The candidate then spends hours answering hundreds of bible questions wherein he expresses both a clear understanding and personal conviction regarding Jehovah's Witness teachings in at least three separate interviews with three different elders. The candidate must vocally agree to be baptized in front of hundreds or thousands of eyewitnesses, and must be publicly immersed in water. This is not a momentary emotional decision by an unreasoning child. Dedication as a Witness required hard work and determination at the time.

Just another way Satan causes segregation. Your either a Christian or your not that is it in a nut shell. As for J.W's and Catholics good luck there baby. there is a parable in the Bible that talks about people traversing land and sea to make a single convert and when they do they make him twice as much a son of Hell as them selves. J.w's don't even believe that Hell exists or that we live in it on earth bey do they have a wake up call coming wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jesus himself said not to call anyone on earth father because we have only one father and he is in heaven. But the leadres of Catholicism are called fathers whoops did we error or what . Mother Mary is not to be worshiped , she was a blessed soul. Are we takeing the spot light of God/Jesus.
